How I do Color Fill on Engraved Pens
I've been asked to show how I color fill the engraved part of my turned pens. Especially on synthetic ones. I use regular acrylic paint in the color of my choice (as long as it looks good with the color of the resin). This video shows you the how I do it.

Thanks, Chris!
I figured that's how you did it. Same as Doug uses for his acrylic (?) logo coins.

Yes, Bill, pretty much.
Nice process Billy. Good easy way t get the engraving to really show up. I used make a small part out of aluminum my CNC milling machine. I would then engrave it with a name or what ever was wanted. I painted the engraved are with black or red lacquer and sanded it down with fine sand paper leaving the letters to show up great on the aluminum. Sort of like you did with your pen. Your pen looks great! Gary

Thank you, Gary! It's surprisingly easy to do. I understand the need to use something like a lacquer on aluminum.
that was cool!

Yes, Chris, just acrylic paint. No finish needed over it.
