I think the "rules" on wearing makeup are much freer than they used to be. Everyone wanted to look the same, and you were bullied if you tried something different. Now it seems like whatever goes.

Love this video! I did the black liner, powder, Great Lash and always....always purple eyeshadow. My mom had this gorgeous purple eyeshadow and I started using it. Finally in my senior year she got me eye shadow in 3 colors. It was in thr shape of how you should put it on your eye. I graduated in 1985.

I'm actually loving the pink highlights... 😂😂

2000's it was all about the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse! I'm a guy so people didn't expect me to be wearing foundation so I always got, "Oh my god your skin looks SO good!" I would say to my friends, "Maybe he's born with it..." 😂🙌🏼

I used to dress like Avril my Freshman year of high school, I legit wore a hot pink plaid school girl outfit with matching pink plaid clip on tie! How did I not get dress coded... is beyond me, like I wore really high platforms (almost broke my neck) and this was all on my first day of Freshman year....My older sister told me it was a good idea, guys would notice me she said...they did, but NOT A GOOD IDEA NOT IN THE WAY I WANTED ! Biggest regret, not to mention I used to dye my hair blonde like Avril, and pinned it back like she did OMG WHY ! The fishnet arm gloves, the raccoon style eyeliner...

You used to get made fun of for big lips and now people over draw their lips to hell and back and Kylie Jenner created a lip stick line basically because of how famous her lips are. I used to get made fun of for my freckles and now people are drawing them on on purpose lol. It's strange how general opinion changes over time.

I used to get made fun of for having big eyes. Other kids would call me bug eyes, now people are using nude liner to make their eyes look bigger.
