Was watching this and an ad for the Helix came on and I’m thinking why the hell would I want one of these, I have a Quad Cortex! 😂 Great video. I learned a few new tricks. And now I’m going to try the HiWatt.

I have the HX Stomp, which I absolutely love, but sometimes I wish it had more DSP power. Either way, a great unit and totally worth the money. I would like to upgrade to the Neural QuadCortex at some point, but at over 3 times the price, I can’t justify it personally. This was a great video though, and I love the patches you created. The tone and sound translated very well in your video. Thanks for sharing this.

Great video Erik. I learned a lot. Thank you! Can the Neural DSP be used live? I’m curious if there is any latency while the signal is being processed. If not, I’m interested in tying a Neural DSP live. The feature I’m most interested in is Capture. Im hoping it can record the IRs of the overdrive and distortion from my Mesa Titan Big Block V12.

@@creepymcpeepers Record your bass track, create a new empty track and copy your recording unto it. Then you apply your plug-in to one of them and keep the other one clean and just apply some compression to it.

@@erikarko would use the second comp as the last thing in chain, before the noise gate. That’s basically how you do it in the studio as well. So you keep your EQs and cab sims in control. The chorus (or any modulation for that matter) on the other hand I would put after the amp and before the cab. That’s at least how I would set up my physical pedalboard. But there are no rules for that. As I said, as long as it sounds good…
