You need a special heat glove buy them on eBay or a hair warehouse

I got a curling iron now, but I have a question about how to do it. In order to curl your hair, do you only need to take the piece of hair and warp it around the curling iron like in the video? Because I want to know how long you had to hold it there for until you get the curl in your hair.

My mom taught me how to use a curling iron now. But my curling iron is very different from the one in the video.
