    Hi Mark! I'm really in love with this scape! One of the best 'flex-scapes' i've seen on the internet. Thumbs up man, really! Your other videos are also really informing, especially for a noob like me. I'll be scaping my flex in a couple of days, keeping all your information & experience in mind. Keep on scaping!

    Another great looking tank Mark. When your planning the hardscape, do you try not to overfill the tank with hardscape? Any tips or rules you use for it?

  • @GEORDIESCAPER

    @GEORDIESCAPER

    4 жыл бұрын

    thanks David...in my experience i just go with what i feel and looks balanced, consider where the plants will need to be placed and have space to grow. The needs of the fish need to be considered aswell, swim space and such. I would try to avoid putting in hardscape in just because you have it and like and it doesn't look right, if you know what I mean? also consider maintenance, is it too near the glass, are you able to reach plants to trim etc. Hope this helps.

    Hi mark new to your channel really enjoying the content I know you said prevention is the best cure but how would you tackle algae I’m having probs with a dusty type stuff I’ve introduced injected Co2 got a better filter Oase bio 350 I use ferts tropica premium and I regulate my light to 8hours going to start 2 weekly 30% changes what do you think thanks in advance Jim

  • @GEORDIESCAPER

    @GEORDIESCAPER

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hi James, glad you're enjoying my channel. Hard to say without knowing the full details. I would start with physically cleaning the algae (sponge, electric toothbrush on hardscape) followed by a large water change (60-70%). 2 weekly water changes are a good idea but i would change a bit more say 50%. Once things balance out you could go to once a week. if you haven't done so already add an algae eating crew i love otos, amano shrimp and nerite snails. Hope this helps. regards Mark

    Your cute n so is your accent and Your Fluval Flex Scape. I’ve liked these tanks for a while now as they’re a lil more pleasing to the eye as a display tank. Prob is I have several other tanks so the dilemma is, get one OR two of these 57 (more like 51 litres as the 5 litres at rear is filtration) OR just stick to what I have, decisions 😳😣 There’s currently 4 for sale from my guy on a local post page...argggg

    Suddenly I don’t feel so bad when you say you bought more stone than you needed. I just bought a Fluval 57 and 123. Am waiting for the cabinets to arrival but in the mean time I’ve been buying dragon stone, Mopani Wood and a few other wood and stone I can’t remember the names of. I hope by watching videos likes yours it will give me ideas of how I want to set my two tanks up.
