Looks awesome! Hyped to see the game progress. My only comment would be: Make the tree fade part (when the character goes behind it) more of a gradient fade (if it can fade based on distance to the object, that would be even better!) as currently is seems quite jarring (and grabs your attention) with the sudden opacity change.
