Despite passion, talent, hard work, performance and accomplishments, many people fail to succeed. Even things happen that we call prarabdh, that is, they suddenly lose everything, even though everything looked so within reach and certain. It looks as if God is playing with us. He thwarts our plans and destroys our efforts to punish us and make us small in this world. Completely underqualified people are getting ahead undisturbed. God cannot conquer our hearts with these injustices and humiliations. On the contrary, He can only stir up hatred for Him in this way.

mam you are very lucky and blessed to have a krishna conscious family because it is very difficult to practice spirituality in a non krishna conscious family

I was fortunate enough to receive a Pamphlet of Gita Life classes happening in Thane, Mumbai. And when I attended the first class, it was altogether a different experience, divine!! Since that day, I am in constant touch with Srila Prabhupada & Hare Krishna Movement. Though my father was not supportive initially, now things seem sorted. I recollect getting up early in the morning to finish my rounds so that no one catches me while chanting. And once my Aai (mother) had even caught me. 😂😅 But all these experiences help increase our faith in Lord Krishna. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Can't believe someone around my age zone and this generation have such spiritual people...really glad.

Most of the times, it's always parents and the atmosphere in our homes that inculcate bhakti inside us, exceptional circumstances like past karmic accounts where the bhakt has a spontaneous awakening is a different and debatable topic. But in this era, the atmosphere at home is very pretty much important . My mother used to read the "stithpragya adhyay" for me from bhagvadgita ever since i was a kid. I remember i used to recite gayatri,mahamrityunjaya,vasudev etc etc all these mantras and feel immense peace while doing so. However i don't believe in spiritual authority and i believe that the bhakt needs to carve his own path towards the divine but tbh parents are always in most cases our first spiritual gurus. Always wanted to know about how you got in, glad to hear this !

Not true. A real guru is the one who answers all of your questions. Most of our parents can't handle logical questions. Some parents can but that's rare.

The situation after situation connecting the dots. whenever i got angry , I just say I am never going to think about krishna. Immediately after sometime, situation happens like krishna is trying to make me happy by means of other people. Earlier i was confused . It many things hard to explain. I never believe krishna because of other's influence. I was a proud Nastic. Something that I don't know , why I will believe. But now I can say something is there beyond.. but it's too confusing.. I still not able to figure it out nicely. I just talk to Krishna because i like it that' s all.

I have never felt a deity near me, although I would like to connect with them, but the question is how. Have your prayers been answered? Is there any harmless way of communicating with Lord Krishna (or Lord Shiva)? Would he help us surmount the obstacles in our life or would he first 'test' us for a prolonged period of time, like the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim God

Hare Krishna . I want to know how you remember all these shlokas so well and their meanings too. I started reading Shrimad bhagwat Puran but after reading it for a while, i came to a state of mind where i was questioning about my existence. At that point I wanted to sacrifice everything and put myself into Bhakti. But since this is karma Bhumi we have to do Karma here. I stopped reading Shrimad Bhagwat Puran(in short i was scared about leaving material world). Lately i have realized i have developed my interest in Lord Krishna. So i am trying to as much as possible about him. So please tell how to be fluent with these Shlokas how you remember them. And you are very beautiful😊 Hare Krishna.

Just don't rush the things. Have faith in Krishna. Keep doing chanting and other devotional practices. If you can visit them nearby iskcon mandir regularly share them the prasadam. Read them Bhagwat Geeta. They'll slowly get used to it and maybe they'll also come to Krishna consciousness by the grace of Lord 🙏🏻.
