Hi! For those who don't have blocking mats, I'm also using my yoga mat (like the other side I dont use) as blocking mat haha. Not sure it's optimal but it works well for me

i totally relate to your anxiety. a few months ago, i felt like i was comparing all my projects to what people were doing on instagram and i felt like i wasn't good enough... wasn't productive enough, creative enough, fast enough... which when you step back and think about it, it's just really quite sad! i try to remind myself - there's no reason to turn a hobby i am passionate about into an internal competition. lord knows there is enough out there in the world today to make us feel less than worthy already. it's normal (& totally okay) to go through phases of wanting to create, then phases of just wanting to follow directions and not have to think. life is full of ups and downs, and i think it's cool that you can just listen to your body and mind and craft in a way that makes you feel comfortable and fulfilled in that moment. so, i think just listen to what feels right for you, and do it. we as your audience just want you to be happy and craft along with you :)

Ugh, you are speaking from my soul. You are incredibly talented and there is a place and so much value to your artistic point of view and personal aesthetic. We can't all be another Petite Knits haha. Be gentle on yourself!

As a person living with bad anxiety I totally sympathize with how you're feeling and it actually makes me feel better to know that other people think the same way. Hang in there and keep being you. You are such a bright light and are not alone in your feelings of anxiety!! <3

I can relate to this video so much. I understand what those feelings of anxiety too because I have suffered from them for years. Knitting has really helped combat it. You are an amazing creator and have made such a great community with us Gen Z knitters. I would definitely buy some of your pieces because you are worth it and more! ❤🥰

Im so glad i watched your video… it makes me feel like i am not going crazy and im not alone. I have so many similar thoughts and feelings to the ones you talked about here and it has been eating at me for some time now. It’s like no matter what choice i make it is going to be the wrong one so it can be exhausting to even think about knitting sometimes. I just have to take it one day at a time and one problem at a time and remember that knitting is a beautiful art that shouldnt be worried over too much.

i feel your thoughts 100%. this time of year stressed me out to the max. i always have too much going on and put too many projects on my list and dont get to make anything i actually want and feel like it doesnt get appreciated. last year i took a break right after the holidays from craft projects just bc it almost isnt fun anymore. but i always seem to get back into it once i get tp play with projects i know i can actually take my time on an enjoy.

I have been knitting for 40 years and wash all of my knits in the washing machine on a cold wash, delicate cycle. I wash them all inside out and to date I have never ruined anything. Most of my hand knits are natural fibres, particularly wool. The hand wash method is so time consuming and they do not get washed as well. Food for thought.

I have so similar thoughts and mentality to yours - with all the projects and things I want to do, there are so many ideas in my head that I spend more time dreaming and wandering about it than actually doing it. So, I just wanted to say that I'm proud of you that you do blissmas so consistently! That's a good standpoint for everything else :p

I know the feeling of being overwhelmed and anxious with everything I’ve taken upon myself to do… I give myself deadlines I don’t actually need to meet and put much more emphasis on doing more things quickly but it helps to remind myself that all that really matters is that you have fun there’s no point in doing it if I’m not having fun
