The common factor was the fact that they all used Ability stacking or gear chunk grinding, or even Farming Ability Chunks. And after seeing these kinds of videos, only one thought came into my mind.
That’s why I hopped on stream and decided that over the next couple days (which turned into….a while), I would try to become Splatoon’s most annoying player.
And it turns out, that journey starts on the same stream that I planned to have to play Splatoon without motion controls. Let’s just say that it wasn’t a TOTALLY fun stream.
However, I was leading towards progress….slowly. UNTIL, I realized I made one HUGE mistake. When I was making the instructions, I forgot which hat and shoe my combo was supposed to belong to. However, for my helmet, that was a pretty easy guess. They were the ones I had been using for a while, so I recognized them. The shoes, however, they were so forgettable that I completely forgot which ones I used. Therefore, I accidentally ended up picking up the wrong set of shoes, which was terrible, because i spent so much time powering it up. However, since it was only the first stream, i thought I wouldn’t be at too much of a setback. Little did I know, that wasn’t the only mistake I made…
You see, to make sure that people don’t go insane like me, Nintendo added barriers to their entire gear adding system to prevent people from getting too good with a specific gear ability, and made it so that each subsequent gear ability that you added to your gear would take twice as many ability chunks, if it was the same ability. The guide I had called for me to put special power up on my shoes FIRST, so that it would only cost 10 chunks, but now it costed 20. How many did I have? 8. That’s why I decided to move onto probably one of the best ways to grind chunks in the game. Salmon Run.
Once I finished that, only one thing remained. My helmet. And who am i kidding, after what i had to bear earlier, this was so easy.
Once I had assembled all my viewers together, I decided that I was going to do it. All this grinding, all led up to this thought process. The ENTIRE reason i decided I wanted to do this to myself was this moment.
You see, the strategy I used was a simple one. Splat Zones is a map that depends entirely on one part of the map being inked, and if I could incorporate that into a longer match…well, that meant more booyah bombs. But that also meant that we needed the other team to score, and, well, not die. I also needed to do the same. Which was an issue.

@spectravj if yoy want to spam, try gootuber, torpedo spam AND tenta missles. Just remember how stacking abilities makes them less effective. Mix subsaver and specialcharge

@@ItsWolf0 tenta missile spam will probably not be very effective for getting as many specials as possible, since the special meter drains slowly after firing the missiles instead of depleting instantly
As someone who played stick for a very long time because I can’t use motion controls to save my life, at least you tried!

I did this junk. I had 2 pieces of gear with full special charge and 2 with special power. I rarely even use it. Waste of time but fully worth it.
Someone managed to be make a more annoying comp then my Pure Run Speed Hydra Splatling. Nice

@@spectravj Heres the Idea, the more Special up you have the less effect it gives, all abilities have diminishing boosts. Meanwhile Tenacity passively fills your special gauge the more of your teammates are currently splatted and after the recent buffs it gives you more than usual. There is the condition that you have to stay alive to gain the buffs. I'm not sure if Tenacity is boosted from the effects of any Special up, but either way I'm pretty sure as long as your teammates die somewhat frequently you'll probably get more Special. Claim blitz Hypothetically can give you a longer game with more specials, but its a bit more inconsistent than Splatzones. For one if no one scores you can get an extra minute or so of game time. In clam blitz you get passive charge for each teammate holding a power claim. This scenario where all teammates have a power claim and no one is scoring is highly unlikely to happen without pulling a few strings. While you can get higher special out put you would need cooperation with both teams, so in a competitive match it would be better to use either Splat zones or tower control. Another way to get more charge is having all teammates using booyah bomb as each time you booyah others it slightly fills your special guage. If you find pressing the booyah button hard to press while moving you can remap it to pressing down on the left thumb stick in the switch home menu. In summary Tenacity will increase special charge more than an additional main of special if your full build has special up, but it also relies to teammates getting splatted. Other methods to get even more special are possible but might need to be done somewhat artificially or unlikely to how players would normally play. Feel free to ignore any of my suggestions, but its worth a try to see if you can break your record.
I did this too, it’s extremely fun.
I have two special charge pieces of gear, shoes and shirt. I love being annoying.

Hey so I'm trying to make my steel helmet the same but when I followed the step you made for it instead of getting the Special charge up without the drink I got Quick super jump instead. So idk if I did something wrong or not. (I did use chunks for the first slot because that's what it said to do) Edit: forgot the )

goofy ass special charge up, imagine the flingza abuse -oh yeah, sloshing machine is still pretty close to meta. It's still the best slosher, at least. What site is that, btw? I've tried using another one in the past and it was more technical but rather unintuitive. I gave up on trying to manip abilities for a while

@@spectravj I didn't meant aim assist. I mentioned the stiff camera movement you normal doesn't have in other shooters. It's odd that the camera has smoothing when you use motion controls but it's Hella stiff if you turn it off. Hard to control the camera tbh
