How I became self taught Developer in 2023
How I became a self-taught Full Stack Developer & How I have learned to code from completely zero without a Computer Science degree or Bootcamp!
A little bit of a background, most of my 20s Ive worked as a cabin crew, travelled the world and had lots of fun, and at some point it was over and had to find myself in a new career.
It's never late to study and it's never late to start over. I am 29 and I started coding 10 month ago hoping to get a job in tech industry and finally I made it!!! In this video Ive shared all the steps and challenges that I went through.

Great story, thanks for sharing! I'm also self taught. I switched to technologies from a completely different field. The process of learning and searching for job took me 1 year and 2 months. I've recently celebrated my 1 year as a frontend developer.🎉 I'm proud of myself and feel inspired by all the people who achieve what they want through hard work and persistence.

Thank you for sharing your story!! I am learning to code on my own right now. I found that I learn better from books than videos. Currently learning Python, then Django. Once I am good with that, I will learn HTML and CSS. This gives me so much hope. Thank you again.

Congratulations! I'm self taught as well. I just recently started applying for jobs after about a year of studying full-stack web development and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a bit discouraging. I've applied for dozens of jobs without so much as a call back. I think it's interesting that you had success finding jobs through LinkedIn. Do you have any advice on how to fluff up a LinkedIn profile/resume when you have no real work history to show as a developer?
@NaziraSabyt

Hey, thank you 🙏🏻 the secret of LinkedIn is I think hitting the keywords when u describe your job responsibilities or even your own projects. Also , when u answer the questions while sending out your applications try to answer yes to every question so that ur resume will reach the employers hand 😁 but I know it’s hard , and doesn’t happen immediately so keep applying!

Can you make us a video about the technical interview, plz?!
Hi Nazira, Please can you make a video on your studying technique while learning how to code? I seem to keep forgetting everything i learn in like 2 days
@NaziraSabyt
Жыл бұрын
Hey, I guess we tend to forget things that we don’t use on daily basis. I would recommend you build 100 applications with different methods and approaches 😁
Companies don't need to put out a lot of job postings for junior positions... They get inundated by people who "just finished bootcamp" and are completely useless for most purposes. With an university degree, after at least three years of programming, developers can start to earn their keep maybe after a year or two. But bootcampers normally take a lot more effort for the companies to train up, and not everybody can afford that.
I want a non stressful remote job, while I can also learn to code and prepare for the career path as a Developer. Any recommendations?
Hi was the take home test a project from scratch or were you tasked with adding?

Hi Nazira, Do you require certifications when applying for jobs...after self-learning?

@NaziraSabyt

Highly Employable profile, decent looking woman + makeup + hair = 10x easier to get a job.
Hell no. It is impossible for me to think that a person can become a fullstack in 10 months. It seems irresponsible to me to sell that idea to many people who are starting out in this industry, since most likely they will come across the harsh reality that unless you are a super genius you can get a job in 10 months and even more without a college degree
