awww thanks, Christine! That's super sweet of you^^ Looking forward to more videos from you as well~❤️
Great breakdown and completely agree with those skills you mentioned. I'd add time management too! I feel like half my time is defending my calendar as a designer to make sure I have time to do the actual design work rather than talking about it!
Thank you so much for this video! I'm currently teaching myself UI/UX design and you touched on so many informative things :)
Thanks for the tips! They are really helpful.
Thanks for sharing your experience:) I so agree about prioritizing the content over the site
Thanks so much for this video! This resonated with me so much. I came in contact with Web Design at University and was also more interested in the HCI than coding (I thought you had to be a nerd for that... I know...). You explained it so concisely and especially the points you mentioned about communication and empathy made me realise what areas I need to focus on (it's not about drop shadows and neomorphism...). Gonna go binge watch the rest of your videos now :D Lots of

I'm so glad ^^ thanks for watching!
An experienced UX designer lead told me designing is only 10% of his work time and he spend a lot of time facilitating and organizing workshops. Basically talking to different people. Understanding technology will be very helpful when UX designers talk to other developers and it will finalize the product with better userbility.
Thank you for this!

I wish you showed up on an earlier search page when I looked up "UX design Canada". Somehow I managed to find you through searching "UX Design Hong Kong" Can you please make a video about a day in your life as a UX designer? Hope you get more views!

Hi Victoria, you're very welcome! And for sure I can :) In the mean time, I made this video a while back on ways to improve as a designer - maybe it'll help :) kzread.info/dash/bejne/nZydprNufbabh8Y.html
Awesome video! I'm curious as to how many projects I need in my portfolio to get an internship? I currently have 1 from school but it doesn't seem enough.

Hey there 👋🏻 you're doing great job Actually I'm also thinking of shifting from commerce to UX designing. Where are you from btw you look pretty 💛
I love yu-gi-oh
I just started my masters in UX Design/HCI and I've been nervous about how to boost my UI/illustrative parts of my portfolio. So far most of my studies are geared toward the research component of the design program. Your videos are overwhelmingly helpful!

Yayy congrats on starting your masters, Kasey!
What you think of Emily Carr ux design program It's in vancouver
Did you take any course or bootcamp?
Thank u so much for the video! I’m a high school student. And I wanna ask, if I want to be a UX designer, which major should I choose for college?
@charlicheung

Hello Emily, if your college has a ux or human-computer interaction program, I would recommend that. These are typically concentrations to a computer science major. I did my degree in computer science with a concentration in human-computer interaction so I may be a little bias but I think it's helped me a lot as a ux designer. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Can we see your portfolio?
