In trading, possessing technical analysis skills is not sufficient on its own; discipline and emotional maturity play crucial roles in achieving success. Embracing the mindset of "time in the market vs. timing the market" proves valuable, especially during market fluctuations. I attribute my growing daily earnings to Flora Elkin's valuable insights and daily trade signals, coupled with my commitment to continuous learning, managed to grow a nest egg of around 127k to a decent 532k. Kudos to the journey ahead!

First time I tasted the market, I was in college and we had a pretend 100k$ USD portfolio. Went up to 485k$ in under 2 months. My blood was boiling with anticipation and I wanted more. But reality was different. Working low wage job to make month ends, while being in school without parents, couldn't save much at all. Fast forward 15 years, I've now started Day trading for a living after quitting my banking job. I hope the journey treats me well, and I wish the very best to every single one of you doing it for a living. =)

@@TheCreoleSon89 That would be a case by case, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. A huge pressure lurks above your head when your income stops and you HAVE to make profits. My wife owns a rental and we have a house. Risks are still very high, but I know I can count on my wife if I have a red week. But anyway, to answer your question. My trading account is 20,000 USD and I have 10,000 USD in my bank account, not tied to anything but my monthly expenses. My strategy is to take between 3 to 5% profit a day and lose AT MOST 2% on my trades. I don't aim for home runs, but when they happen, I appreciate them more. I withdraw the extra. I hope it answers!

@@TheCreoleSon89 I posted a reply earlier, but I feel like it never went through, I'll write it down again hehe! Before I give a final answer, I need to give some backstory. My wife owns a rental propriety, we own a house (with a loan), both cars are paid and we have no personal debt. I worked as a banker more than 10 years. My risk, even though it is still very high to lose money, is moderate in the sense of I can make it back and my wife backs me on my decision. With that in mind, I use 20,000$ in my trading account and 10,000$ cash in my regular bank account not tied to anything but monthly expenses. That way, I feel comfortable taking high-risk high-reward trades. I hope it serves you well my friend!

(Assuming you already went thru the starter and pro classes already.) Dig into the mentor sessions archives as well. Sometimes someone else explains things differently and then things begin to click. i am now 3,5 yrs in almost and slowly but surely start becoming consistently profitable, but i would say i need another half a year or so to fully say that with confidence. on average, from what i have seen throughout my journey is that people start going sideways after 2,5-3 years and become profitable after 4. of course the mileage can vary depending on many factors (one of which is the time you even have to put into it on a daily basis) but for me, i think i fall in that 3-4 years range. i hope that is :D

I buy 1 share of the stocks that look promising. they usually go red immediately. then, if one of them starts going into the green and is rising quickly. i go in and buy a bunch of share. and get out as quickly as possible (leaving that one share behind to see how it continues to play out). it hasn’t been perfect, but so far this system has helped me avoid a lot of bad decisions.

Love these kind of videos - Very Inspiring! Ross' setup looks great, but I have no idea how I would set this up from zero to fully configured in terms of; Trade viewing software, Broker API integartion, Simulator setup and other tools. If I bought a computer with nothing on it, what would I install, in what order, where would I get them and what would it cost? I see Warrior trading have alot of tools, but I cannot see a video that shows how I would install and set these up from scratch, and what additional tools and integrations I would need to have a functional setup. (either to Sim or to Trade) If this exists, great! can someone post links? If not, it would be amazing if somneone could produce one.

I've been day trading for about a week, currently in the red, but because i don't have that much money, my losses are relatively small. But through these losses I have learned so much. I learned alot about when to get in, the getting out is still the hard part. I even learned something new today. So i bought into something at $4.11, then it dropped to $3.70 and stayed there. So i bought again at $3.70 same amount, and went from red to green. I didn't know it averages you shares, i thought they were individual.

  • @basseon

I started two weeks ago, but I've been investing for years. Adding shares is riskier(it's increasing your risk), don't fall the sunken cost fallacy (read up on it). Don't buy more shares to lower your cost basis, do it only if you would have made that purchase without already owning those same shares (see it as a separate purchase). If you have comissions (I do), calculate them separately. I'm even in the last two weeks with a 45% success rate, but I'm in the red because of the comissions. I practiced with 200$, when I go up to 1000$ the comissions won't eat away my profit anymore.

Starting small ($100 or $1000) makes it much easier to swallow when you are learning. When i started, i focused on % gains rather than $ gains. Simply because if you move a decimal point on % based, you can almost “pretend” you’re dealing with “10,000” even though it’s only “100.00”. Get comfortable losing and gaining the % gains and losses. Once you refine your strategy, then, you almost forget you’re putting $8,000 in a stock… because you’re so used to doing 8.00, or 80.00. Really helped learning from Ross.

Ross , your stories are always so inspiring to hear . Within the first 3 months of this year I made $202K but spiraled in April 2024 and gave back half of that profit. It’s difficult to articulate or explain to folks who don’t trade and don’t understand the mentality that you get in when you trade and especially when you spiral or like you said “get emotionally hijacked” . I always mention to my gf how there’s a fine line between gambling and trading , and sometimes when it gets crossed it can be very dangerous (hence my performance in April). It’s just nice to listen to someone who has similar experiences and reactions. You don’t cover yourself up. Thanks for being open.

I am the same way but I forced myself to use a computer with three total screens. And now I can do both very well. - when I use my phone I just have to swipe (iPhone) between chart and level 2 and whatever offer information I’m using.. and anyone else reading our post might think we are crazy but if your already good at using your phone and can master swiping back and forth, (natural to me), there’s no issue with it. I’ve gotten good at both but forced myself to use desk top and I’m so glad I did. Now a days I use the desktop to execute and use my phone to manage and maintain trade… depending if I’m at work etc.

Trading coach GOAT! Been day trading for two years and finally turning the corner these past few months. Started off as he explains making gains then blowing out 6 weeks of profit in one day. I still have bad days but these red days no longer wipe of months of work and rather only a few days. These bad days are also becoming less common as well. It takes time but work hard and you will get there!!

Oh my god how I can relate. When I lose big, I don’t care if I down $1000 or 150 I am so careless I think yes I am so stupid it doesn’t matter, but when I am up $100 and see that I missed the opportunity to hold and gain 500 or $1000, it hurts me more because then I get real that losing is hundred times easier than gaining. I wouldn’t dream making as much trading as you do, first of all because most of us don’t do it as a job but as a side hustle, but also you are exceptionally talented. Simulating trading is my pain, that it doesn’t motivate me.

I paid with losing a few hundred $ to learn the importance of the discipline you speak of. So far this week I am have been done trading by 1030 each morning and I an green all 3 days so far including today.

Ross Is The Realest 💯 I started watching him when I first began trading almost 4yrs ago Although I don't trade his strategy, I've learned Alot from him And I still follow his channel just to stay mentally sharp as a more experienced trader ( I swear I owe this guy a 💰 if we're ever fortunate enough to cross paths) I highly recommend this channel to Anyone who is serious about trading in any form or fashion

I am in that beginning stage, not the stage when you earned 30$, I never got there and questionable if most of us will ever get there, but I am in the stage of small gains for one week and losing all or more the next week.

I find day trading too difficult istead I like one week or few days trading. I do always feel like the moment I put money on it the price goes down and make me loose so day trading is good if you know what stock or index to go for.

I had a very destructive day back in 2017. But since then I found that it all boiled down to loss of concentration. My mother had come into my room just as I was mentally debating when the best time to exit was. That split second of distraction wiped out $2500 of a $3000 account. Fast forward to a month ago. And I see this guy on KZread talking about trading. And after learning many things from him, I found I was getting consistent green days. Still small. But yeah. Thank you Ross Cameron for being that guy.
