➡️Brownies:
1/2 cup butter, melted and HOT( microwave for 30 seconds)
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 1/8 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs/ Room temp
1 teaspoons pure vanilla essence
1/2 cup and 1 tabsp all purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).Lightly grease an 8-inch baking tray. Preferably Line with parchment paper .
Combine hot melted butter, oil and sugar together & whisk for a minute. Add the eggs and vanilla essence, beat until lighter coloured. Sift in dry ingredients. flour, cocoa powder and salt. Gently & lightly fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until JUST combined .
do NOT over beat.
Add chocolate chips ( optional)
Transfer batter to the prepared tray & smooth the top using spatula.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the centre of the brownies in the pan no longer jiggles & sides have left the pan. .
Remove and allow to cool to room temperature before slicing.
You can cut it into 16 servings.

Walaikum Assalam Jazakillah kher. For a long period I have been celebrating bday parties for my kids. However n past few years I have stopped it. But Hussain is quite young & I don’t want him to feel that we didn’t celebrate his bday only. Hopefully by next year he will be old enough to understand. If you have seen my vlogs before you would know that I appreciate & celebrating Quran achievements more than anything. 😊

There is no problem in prepping a day before the party. It depends on what kind of food can be made ahead and what needs to be made fresh. For I would make desserts, cakes, etc day or even 2 days before, stuffings a day before, yakhni, or cutting, marinations, etc. Curries, rice, and salad should be made fresh the same day otherwise they don't taste as nice.

Right! Same here. I have been getting a lot of comments regarding cooking ahead time means serving unfresh food to the guests. There are some specific items that should be prepared the same day but most of the cooking should be done a day early. 😊
Very nice, MashaAllah.. just a suggestion for egg sandwiches, if you add butter and mustard paste to the mixture, it totally enhances the flavour.. God bless your home in abundance, Aameen.

Tea party is more hectic and needs more detailing, nice arrangement and good food But dear why wasting so much time , energy and money on useless stuff????,its your choice but we should be aware of our priorities dear.

Not every gathering needs to be a dinner dawat. It’s all about preferences . There are many out there who don’t like doing hectic cooking for big dawats. They always prefer hi-tea. Where most of the work can be done by our ovens. 😊
