This channel is a treasure to be cherished. Thank you for your work, Mortym!
I admire you, truly. I have no patience for 100% nowadays, especially in the era of open world games full of dreadful filler. But you do it every time, amazing! You have a lot of patience and passion, and we can see it in your videos. Keep up the good work, Sir, and happy 100% gaming! EDIT: Might I suggest a topic for a video? Backlogs. Do you have an extensive gaming backlog? How do you deal with it? I have SO MANY games still to play and I'll probably never manage to finish them lol

Yeah, Open World games certainly can be a chore. I've been slowly getting through Horizon: Zero Dawn. I don't have much time to play or complete games (or rather, I limit my time playing them per day), so a game like Horizon: Zero Dawn I only really want to complete once. That means getting all those difficult to find shards. Yes they're optional but they have little bits of lore in them. The non-lore stuff for some reason is shown on the map but not the shards, so I've had to look some of them up. If it was a first day release, I'd have a lot of trouble finding those shards, especially with the weather affects, which can really make it difficult to find them. In regard to backlog, most of my backlog are games I got for free on Epic Games Store, so I don't feel so bad about not ever playing them, let alone completing them because I didn't pay for them. However, my Steam Backlog I do feel more compelled to eventually complete and with their sales, I keep accumulating more Steam Games. I'm going to have to discipline myself and just not buy stuff in sales, unless it's under £3, or something.
You are without a doubt one of the hardest working KZread gamers making content. Respect man.
I only found this channel a few weeks ago but I've been binging your content like crazy. I really enjoy your analysis and takes, even though I don't agree with a number of them. Hope you keep making quality content!
Quite enjoyable hearing your syntaxes of completing a game! No shame in utilizing guides, I have a massive physical strategy guide collection just for such a purpose.
8-12 hours a day? You are a pro-gamer! Onward to 200k. All glory to the algorithm.
This has been my go to gaming channel. Your passion for gaming is definitely evident and makes the content both approachable and enjoyable. Definitely looking forward to all the future content you produce.
I’m really glad the algo decided to bump you because I recently marathon watched most of your reviews. What a lovely channel
Downplaying your cyborg level of work rate is classic Mortym. It's been a blast watching this channel blow up. And the thoroughness you bring to the topic at hand is certainly a main reason why. Also, your knowledge that KZread is a game, and how to exploit it. ;)
Your unwavering commitment to always complete games to 100% is truly impressive. I cannot fathom playing the same game multiple times in a short span. Perhaps I could if was 17-18 years old younger, but now? I've even resorted to using cheat engines or trainers for many of the single player games I play and still couldn't achieve 100% completion. How do you avoid feeling burned out? I understand that combining a hobby with a job can actually be more demanding than just having a regular job.

The content you produce oozes with integrity and sincerity - your reviews share YOUR experiences and knowledge of games and I love them for that. Thanks for sharing your process an behind the scenes - so thank you so much :)
I really appreciate this video. It's nice to know that you use guides and start on easier difficulties. It gives me a more realistic perspective on playing games.
Just wanted to say I’m so happy I found your channel! It’s been hard to find a reviewer that I relate to in terms of how we play games to completion(or close). That and our taste in video games are incredibly similar that I’ve been picking up some of the old rpgs that I’ve missed growing up. Just wanted to say thanks for the great content! And keep doing what your doing!
Your content has been fantastic and brings a much appreciated perspective to game reviews, thank you!
I don't always play games the minute they come out, and your channel has become a great trusted resource in my decision on where to put my money. I'm really glad to hear that you enjoy this as much as you do. Keep up the great work!
I’ve never been a 100% kinda gamer. I’m more interested in the narrative aspects and cosmetic stuff. That being said, your approach 100% makes me trust your reviews more than most people or publications. I’d like to play everything no matter the scores, but life is to be lived and bills have to be paid lol. We appreciate your methodology.
Hiya Mortym! I've always wondered how you went about 100%ing games. You're a machine when it comes to playing and reviewing so many games! Appreciate the hard work and time you put into your videos.
Thanks for the video, I like the way you articulate things, makes it easy to listen to.
For real, keep doing what you do. You only get better with time, which is crazy because its really great now :D. Love the voice, detail, personal touches, etc.
If I could make a request, I'd be curious to know what games you think have the best side quests, having done so many 100% I think it would make for some interesting lists.
Honestly, I’ve reached a point with your channel that I don’t care about the game, as long as you keep getting 100%. There is something satisfying and magical about this channel. Or maybe it is just your communication with your audience.
more than doubled your subscribers in just a year, nice! I'm glad I could contribute to that success :)
With how quickly you can 100% a game, i see no need to refer to other reviewers. Its worth waiting for your review who actually play the game in detail compared to corporate reviewer who cant even properly complete the game without accessibility option turn on. Great job!
Mad respect to ya for what you do. I don't think I could do it and I love games. Keep on keeping on and take care of yourself, it'd be nice to keep watching your channel grow !

I honestly have quite some respect for you. When there are games that captivate me I do spend lots of time playing them but I could not motivate myself to do so for most games and once I am done with one game I often don't play another for a while. On top of that I have only ever gotten 100 percent on One maybe two games. I cant imagine doing that for every game I play. My hat is off to you.
Discovered the channel from the "Baldur's Gate story series" Amazing content and the best reviews on KZread imo 😅❤️
Great and humble as always, Mortismal. I was wondering if you had some time to make a video on how would you suggest to tackle a game backlog. Thank you!
The thing I appreciate the most about your reviews is they're very cut and dry. A lot of the time reviews that go on tangents or have overly expressive or flowery wording tend to lose me. So I really appreciate there being a place for reviews that are to the point.
And we are grateful that you are here making video truly appreciate your effort and amazing content and can you fit small games between your reviews? (Pls review fear and hunger)

We got your back, bro. You do you and we are here for it.
I love this channel so much. I recently found your content, and I’m on the binge. I have to agree about Skyrim difficulty, with the exception of Master difficulty, which was added many years after Skyrim’s release. It alters the game in the same way that the others do, but to such a drastic extent that it absolutely affects the way you approach (or don’t approach) fights, and it honestly feels like the most rewarding way to play Skyrim. Functionally, to achieve something resembling the dominance you were used to on Legendary, you pretty much have to min-max with crafting. I would agree, however, that this doesn’t fundamentally change any of the game’s systems, only how beefy your enemies are. This isn’t a nitpick, just an interesting point in a conversation topic that fascinates me.
@XoRandomGuyoX
Жыл бұрын
Eh, you swapped the names I think, as Legendary was the later 'you deal 25% damage' difficulty. And, yeah, for the most part people found ways to spam crafting to fully suit up in enhanced gear to make Legendary feel like the old Master difficulty. Still, damage sliders aren't really that rewarding. It's also the reason I don't like the difficulty style of games like Nioh, where you hit an enemy 40 times but if they scratch you twice it's over.
I love the channel I am especially glad we like a lot of the same games.
keep up that passion
Thanks for another interesting video. 🙂
And we love you're content
I like aiming for 100%. It was actually what took me out of a bit of a slump (I didn't play anything for like a year and a half) and it gives me focus to stick with a game even if something I dislike turn's me off early in the game. It also helps me review them to a few friends that take my opinion to heart a lot of the time, so I like to look at everything a game has to offer if I'm going to recommend them to a friend or not. I also really like your point about not being in a hurry. When I started achievement hunting a few friends thought I was just ignoring the core of the game just for the feeling of dinging a new achievement, but nah. I actually take my time and usually take way more time than they themselves will take with the game.
We have something in common, you love video games, and i love your channel. Men, this channel is insanely good. Thank you for doing this
Nice! I always wondered about this! I usually only complete indie games or titles that don't require multiple playthroughs
The video ive been waiting for but didnt know would exist.
Into the mind of the creator! Thank you for the enlightenment good sir!
Tips are gonna be a time saver for me. 100% planescape torment is gonna be a chore. Some how I always end up true neutral. every time.
Youre the only legit reviewer I trust. You can't really review a game with just a few hours of gameplay like other KZreadr does, its more of a first impression rather than a proper review. More subs abd success on your channel sir!
You are literally the only game reviewer I watch. I don't trust anyone else.
As someone who also only exclusively plays RPGs you hit it on the head with the pre game research. I always research trophies to see if I want to bother with 100%. I like to play games my way so 10 years ago I gave up on exclusively 100%ing games because it took away my enjoyment of gaming. Now I research what would need to be done, decide if I'm doing it or not, then play how I wish. I wish it was my job though, I completely understand loving gaming at the level you do, and I love your videos.
Thanks for your hard work, this channel is basically the only way I was able to get into Pathfinder WOTR.
Nothing really to say, but I enjoyed this video. Thanks for making and sharing it.
My buddy sent me your recent Atomic Heart review and I loved the way you did everything so I'll definitely be back for more
Wo Long: Respec everything to stone before fighting Lu Bu. Spam the stone attack to stun him. Might only need three to finish the fight.
Good channel, hope you don't experience burnout or fatigue.
Please don't ever "rush" to get a 100% review out, I would rather wait two weeks longer and see a review from someone that's actually truly finished the game, majority of reviewers these days only do the main story, maybe a tiny bit of side-content and then call it a day, some of them don't even finish the game if it's a long RPG. That's what sets you apart from the other reviewers and that's why we love your contentm
I like how you approach games just like us mortal gamers without your epic 100%ing superpower on your first playthrough 😉
Thanks for what you do. On a side note, you inspired me to give WotR a shot and I'm having fun. I'd completely written Pathfinder off after repeatedly bouncing off Kingmaker.
Morning man! ✌️
Good vid.
Bruh your voice is quite smooth lol just like listening especially while high lol
Whether a game is new or not can make a difference in gameplay too. For example, in Elden Ring you used Hoarfrost Stomp because it was a 'room sweeper' in effectiveness. But then From Software nerfed it so you couldn't deal 2-6k damage to a group with every other stomp. Cyberpunk 2077 was like that too, since despite the glitches the devs nerfed a lot of stuff with their early patches.
I like to get 100% in games as well, but since I'm working full shift it sometimes takes me months to just complete the game normally (I usually play jrpgs). Planning stuff beforehand, checking how many hours it takes to beat a game and so on is a must for me. I got 100% only in a handful of titles as a result. But hey - I can play video games for approx. 10 hours a week and I'm happy about that.
Good video.
Wonderful video, as usual. A little request/suggesion: When you are showing footage from all these different games in one video, could you write the title somewhere? I played some awesome games because of your videos and it would be nice to know straight away which games they are when it's not too obvious. Well, at least for me.

Love your channel bro! Any tips/advice for someone like me that has a hard time finishing games to their conclusion? I often get bored very fast when a game appeals to me, and then no longer does, just like that *snaps fingers*. For example, I played Kingmaker and made several new games to try out the classes to see what would be cool, but by Act 5, I've gotten bored and stopped. Another game is Horizon Zero Dawn. Would you ever consider making a backup of your savegame files in games with just one save slot and an autosave function, like Elden Ring? You wouldn't have to replay the whole game, just to choose a different option after defeating the final Boss. I did it to be the first in my circle of friends to get 100% - before and went back to beat is several more times the regular way. 😁

He should have a video explaining what the 100% completion entails. For a game like one of the Pathfinder entries, it would take a LOOONG time to try every class and subclass combination. There tends to be overlap too, e.g. this subclass introduces sneak attack damage, this subclass adds some casting, etc.
@MortismalGaming

DOS2 yeah I've played just about everything you could do class wise. Multiple characters across probably a dozen runs. Pathfinder is an interesting case where between playing the tabletop and the game I have played most of them but with Pathfinders classes often sharing features and turning those into hybrid classes etc you start to get a feel for what the features are capable of which can inform a lot of your class decisions. I wouldn't claim to have played every permutation but I've played all the classes and done a great deal of tinkering and multiclassing etc. I usually just try to get to a point where I'm comfortable using all of it.
Hey Mortismal, great video! I was wondering if you could spend a few minutes on your 100% review actually rating your 100% experience in the future. As an amateur completionist, this would be very useful to me!

I dont really like to focus on the achievements themselves as I've stated in the video about what I cover in them, but I am considering doing a separate video for that kind of thing
When playing a game of a genre I'm not used to play, I usually start on a lower difficulty setting. I'm currently playing SpellForce 3 and since I'm not a big fan of RTS games, I play the game on the lowest setting. The story is great, but I am not a big fan of the RTS part of it. But when I'm playing genres I'm more comfortable with, I often start one setting above normal.

The only game I ever truly 100 percent was final fantasy 10 [finding every item seeing every cutscene 100 percent every mini game in game literally leaving not a single stone unturned] it will always be my favorite game forever and always
Love the niche you carved out of generic game reviews. I would 100% more games if the multiplayer achievements weren't necessary. It would be nice if games had two 100% achievements, one for single player content and the other for multiplayer content.
came her from the hogwarts legacy 100%. Liked the game, but only 50% completion from me, wanted to see what the rest of the game was like. Glad to have found this channel. Mad respect for doing 100%s.
I don't really consider some games when it comes to 100%'ing them, but when I think about 100% I think of stuff like getting 100% in Binding of Isaac which is a herculean task requiring skills befitting a god and probably a thousand hours if not more, or maybe something where you need to play a game 10 times over just to get ending achievements or something.

I'm curious whether you (or any one else reading these comments) played any of the very large CRPGs through to completion several times (not just 2 or 3 times, but say 5+ times all the way through to completion). I mean the large CRPGs like Pillars of Eternity and Pathfinder that (for me at least) can take 100+ hours per playthrough. And if so, was that even after getting all the achievements?
