    With that type of training you’ll get your atp point very soon and not just one! Just a quick reminder, don’t forget applying sunscreen in 3-4h, skin cancer is a thing. If you have a spare time it’s always good to remind your viewers about the importance of sunscreen 😉, it’s very important in outdoors sport, maybe we can save 1 life or 2

    The saber racket is genius! I can see why it helps... after hitting with it you are so used to the precision you need to hit the ball, so when you switch back to your normal racket it's so easy to hit the center for those clean crisp shots. Good method!

  • @riosrios5466

    To carry it to extremes you could also use a tennis pointer (KZread e.g. "Tennis Pointer Drill (Wooden Spoon) - Jalena Meyer"). The saber racket and tennis pointers have one thing in common: For advanced players with decent technique only! Everyone else will probably if not certainly hurt shoulder/elbow/arm/wrist.

    Thank you for another great video along the way towards your goal. Nice to see the warm-up and recovery sections. As a former health provider, the warm-up is so important in injury prevention, and the viewer who commented below about ample and frequent sunscreen is spot on in reducing skin cancer risk. You might not see the benefits now, or ever truly know what you've prevented, but in twenty years or so, sunscreen use now could literally save your life. What a great academy to be able to train at. I know you'll reach your goal and surpass it. Keep up the good work!

    In my opinion you literally just have to play matches wether that’s tournaments or practise sets with as many different opponents as possible, some a little better, some right around your level and some a little worse so you get used to playing with pressure because nobody likes losing to players they know they should or could beat which is why we tighten up in match play. Don’t get frustrated by losses because you only get good at match play by experimenting and losing over and over again until you figure out what works for you. But If you’re looking for immediate improvements I’d say footwork makes all the difference in match play. You have to be so much more intense with footwork then you would be in practise because in practise most of the time your hitting partner is hitting good deep shots that you can wait for but in tournaments it’s way more scrappy people push or use low slice or moonballs and in these matches those crosscourt or deep neutral ball drills we spend hours doing kind of go out the window. so you can’t wait on the baseline you have to be fast moving forward and back.

  • @TheRabbitsaver

    @TheRabbitsaver

    Start out with making sure that the practice session intensity is similar to your matches. Secondly get the kids a proper training and tournament plan. You need to make sure you have an year end target and then plan your tournament circuit(Africa, Europe, Asia) depending on what level the kids are or what target you set or what your financial condition is. It is very hard to give a specific answer to your question since it is a very general question :) But high intensity training, lot of points in training, tournament, diet and recovery plan will set you on the right path my man

    Just adding to the other comments - it may sound funny but it also should be fun 🤩. Make the training fun at times and provide good positive feedback - focussing on things the players do well. Remind everyone that no one is perfect in tennis and that losing is as important as winning ( to learn from it ) It’s unfortunately a sport where top 100 players lose more in a year then they win. So one must accept losing as a integral part of development rather then the “enemy”’
