Okay yes you got me. It did. This video was made with Remotion!
Reworking the weapon system has been a blast and I really feel confident I am heading in the right direction. Onwards and upwards!

    Finally got around to watching this and looks amazing. Constructing mixable and matchable components like this for gear is a powerful and fun feature for dev's that want to update gear consistently. It also makes it much simpler if you wish to alter what any one weapon does later as you know where to go. Looking forward to it when its done! Love your work and art style as always.

    That's amazing, Bardent. I can't wait for the tutorials on it to see all the back end logic. This seems super useful and versatile. Can probably apply to many other systems as well, not just weapons. Things like environement, items, or NPCs could theoretically be wired up with a similar architecture. Since you asked, two things I'd like to see improved from your main series would be decoupling Transitions from the States themselves and also decoupling the Animator from transition logic to just play the animation (similar to Lost Relic's system).

    the time you spent on juicing up the visual with particles etc, really paid of! I can imagine it feeling even more awesome with some sound effects.

    Wow dude, I just want to say I've followed your tutorials before in the beginning of this project and they were super useful and good. But dude this is a whole new level you've stepped up, Good job and amazing work. I hope you keep making these and get so much better. You should consider making some tutorials for like Udemy or other platforms.

Im way behind in video 8… still want to catch up with all the videos, but with this new weapon system im not sure if I should consider doing my animations for each weapon attack or use the same basic move and add the weapon as a child object as you do. Thanks for doing this! This is so epic

    It was very fun to work with. Not gonna lie the first video takes forever as you have to make all your own components, but I think the next one will be a lot faster. Also just so you know I've watched your devlogs before and already subscribed a while back and they got a lot going for them 😄

    THIS IS SO COOL OMG I love this system and it seems to have aLOT of potential, but something cool would be that players would also have the ability to mess with the system. Maybe similar to Noita, players could "enchant" weapons or just mess around with the abilities

    That is a really cool idea! Because it is so component based it should be fairly simple to add components in the form of enchantments at runtime!

    Have you ever imagine to try this system with enemies? Like a automating building system for them, that you can create any type of enemy in a simple way as you showed with the weapons

    My original prototype for this system used almost only inheritance. But I can tell you from that experience it was not the right approach. Here, I think I found the sweet spot between eliminating repeat code using inheritance and making my functionality very extendable using composition.

    There are lots of things I want to cover! The issue is balancing learning that for myself to the point where I understand it well enough to actually make content on it and then actually making the content. But hopefully eventually I will take the game through to completion :)

    Ok now my question is how do you scale the weapons. My character is 32x32 Do I make a full size 32x32 sword or do I make it the size it would be on the character
