Gotta love free boats, they're the only way we can afford the fortune it costs owning them. Just finished turning an old, abandoned sailboat into a crabbing boat for the summer and not sure why everyone is not doing it! small sailboats can be found for free all over the place especially if they don't have a mast, but they make great motoring boats with nicer than average cabins. Dropping her in the Sasafrass Labor Day weekend for the first time she has seen water since 1991. See you out there Luke! Give me crabs or give me death!!

A motor sitting in the bottom underwater. It fills with saltwater. Its amazing it started. I pulled a motor off a newly sunken boat to try to save the motor. It was totally effed. Corrosion begins immediately. The wire connections fail. Be careful with that motor or you'll find yourself stranded

I raised a sunken sailboat. I waited for high tide, tied a cable to a piling on one side of the boat abd ran the cable under tge boat up to a piling on the other side using a cumalong to take up the slack. When the tide went out the boat came up. I then used a rental trash water pump to get the water out. Free boat.

Now that you are in the marine salvage business, you could convert that boat into a tow boat, and pull people back in that run out of fuel or have a mechanical issue and need a tow back to the marina or their dock. Then you could branch out with a larger boat with a derrick to swing a pump onto the deck of a boat that is sitting on the bottom but the deck is still above water.
