Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If a hotel chooses to send it's dirty laundry away to be washed by a contractor, this is how they do it...

I'm pretty sure the jam stains aren't their main concerns from romantic getaways...

It is my belief that many hotel beds and pillows are a forensic expert's wet dream. That is the reason we bought a campervan 20 years ago and a motorhome after that.

As an OCDer / germophobe , I have major concerns: 1) the sheets are loaded into cloth walled hoppers ; are these hoppers santized after every load? 2) the workers are handling the loads without gloves, so they are spreading germs from load to load. 3) I could never work at a place where I would need to handle dirty linen without looong gloves and a face mask. Think of all the peoples' private parts being rubbed on the linen and the soiling from human fluids 4) lastly regarding re-using the dirty water. Does the water get disinfected before it washes a new load?

here´s the answer to your questions :-) : 1.: yes, the Carts/Hoppers are disinfected in a special machine in the laundry company and the huge bags that are covering the inside of these carts are washed in an disinfecting cycle (as well as the hotel and hospital laundry) 2.: most of the laundry companies provide gloves and aprons to protect the workers there. and even if they spread germs (and other stuff) from load to load (which they also do with the gloves on), everything that goes through such a "tunnel washer" is being disinfected (the laundry companies have to use disinfecting washing cycles) 3.: most of that laundry (except maybe from a hospital) is not as dirty as you might think. 4.: the water which they re-use is not dirty, it is the excess water which is being extracted from the linen through the press cycle (linen is disinfectec=no germs/viruses etc left on them before it enters the rinse compartments), so it only has a few particles of detergent left in it. And it only goes into the first prewash compartment of the tunnel washer to soak the linen. All tunnel washers are programmed like this to save as much water as possible to save the environment. They are also checked up at least once a year by institutes (in germany it is "Institut Hohenstein" and TÜV or Dekra) to ensure these disinfecting cycles (1) and also the tunnel washers (2) work as they should.

Handles dirty linen with non-gloved hands and goes to keyboard...repeat. Why are there no gloves when handling dirty linen? Honest question. It's been shown in a number of videos I checked out. What do they do for hygiene?

I work in a smaller hotel with 120 rooms and we do our own laundry. During 3 to 11 shifts, we have 2 people working laundry and they also responsible for working front desk. Same with 11 to 7 but that's a solo shift which means you have to do the rest of the laundry that 3 to 11 didn't finish by yourself. Otherwise, I'm guessing this hotel was too big to have in house laundry.

I think it's safe too say that, that's not how hotels deal with their dirty laundry. Well at least not where I live LOL I've worked in hotels and they all wash, dry, press and fold their own laundry.
