Good one thanks. I like the use of car wheels for flywheels and pulley drive.

Instead of words, it needs to be a quite a bit steadier, slower and focus on what makes the jaw action. This really didn't show much. It's just a shaky video pointing at stuff and not really showing how it works. It really only shows that it works. I love the style of machine, but would love to actually see how it works.

I still can't figure how the pivoting motion back and forth design work on the crush plate ?

Best DIY I seen our here yet Phil. Nice beefy construction, large bearings and mounts, thick metal. I would have like to seen the bottom of the moving plate in action. Seems like there is a lot of friction down there if it just sliding against that slanted plate. And why is that back bottom plate slanted downward? Can you please explain that?

I was looking at the same thing. I wanting to DIY one also. I would have like to seen it in working motion or at least some detail commentary explaining it. Seems like there be some roller down there instead of just rubbing against a plate. I probably will copy some ideas from a Chinese commercial crusher.

@@Accumulator1 From what I have seen on animations they seem to use a bar or plate between the moving jaw and the frame held in place by a spring. Good luck with your project.

I did notice the large ones with the rod and spring near or at the bottom of the moving plate. The pivot point appears to be up from the bottom a bit. So at the pivot point the plate moves only up and down. At the very bottom I notice that the plate moves in a smaller circular motion and opposite rotation from the top of the plate. I guess there is something to this design specifics so that the rock parts drops on through.

the shaft was turned eccentric, if I remember correctly it is 2.5 inch shaft and the outer bearing supports were 2 inch. so the travel of the moving jaw is one inch forwards and back

Its 5 hp 3 phase running off the vfd. It would run off slightly less hp in the video it was on a 50m extension cord so it would never be able to make 5hp because of the voltage drop
