I always find it interesting how Star Wars seems to get more advanced technologically the farther you go back in history rather than progressing. HK47's advanced AI capable of surpassing any clone wars AI, the Star Forge's capability of transforming the energy of stars into a near infinite army, and terraforming technology created by the Rakatans which made Kashyyk the way it is in terms of such massive flora.

It's more like technology in Star Wars goes in waves. Which kind of makes sense... every few thousand years or so someone makes a massive breakthrough in some area and that is then used for a while before falling into obscurity for whatever reason. Like personal shields. During the events of KOTOR, they were in common use. But since that meant blasters were pretty useless in combat, most switched to using close combat instead, which rendered the shields obsolete, and then people stopped using them and the knowledge of their construction fell into obscurity. And so on and so forth.

I mean the same happened in our history in a shorter time frame; pyramids that all line up to the same constellations, light bulbs in Egypt (clay jars with a copper bar/plate with wine to act as batteries), the aqueducts of Rome (which are used today), Tesla’s technology…. Let’s not get into the historical paintings of “flying saucers” lol. I think it makes the SW universe a bit more believable in that sense.

Believe it or not that actually mirrors parts of earths history. Ex) In ancient Egypt, the more recent ones were less advanced than the older ones

I love seeing how SWG lore "fits" into legends, I played the absolute hell out of galaxies in high school, and hearing the HK lore brings back so many memories of raids and friends from back then. Galaxies was super underrated and its a shame people cant experience it now

Good lord imagine what would've happened if the CIS even told Sidious what they found. I mean in hind site Revan was the Rule of 2's true founder and with the discovery of HK-47 I think Sidious would've lost his mind and possibly wanted to get his hands on HK-47 because of who he was connected too. Just saying!

I have never been a big fan on this whole story. Like they describe HK-47 very different from any other depiction of him. Like I love HK-47 but this all just seems so out of character for him? Like he is an assassin droid not a general. Why does he immediately have the urge to build an army? Why does he immediately attack the people who are awoke him? Why is he able to shrug it off a restraining bolt despite it having worked on him in the past? Is HK-47 such a perfect analytical code breaker that he can outmaneuver his way through completely foreign systems? Like there might be answers for all of this, but it all comes across as an over aggrandizing of his character. “Oooo everyone loves HK 47!” “ let’s give HK 47 an entire army of HK-47‘s and make him super good at killing people, better than anything in the past few hundred years, and make him plan to take over the entire galaxy! Honestly a story involving HK 47 waking up and immediately committing himself into the service of his new owners who would have been far more interesting! Perhaps a general who is trying to kill off his rivals, that seems like a much better fit for HK. This all is a bit much.

The clarification that most of this story was on the mmo was most timely. By that part of the video I was wondering how I'd missed all that. xD

My friend truly amazing and fantastic video!!!!! I've always liked the HK-47 assassin droid and especially the ending of the video "I'll be back meat bag" I had no idea they managed to find one remnant of HK-47 on Mustafar during the Clone Wars and then him creating a droid army during the Original Trilogy. No matter how old the HK-47 was, he was a powerful and superior droid. HK-47 could have easily destroyed all the battle droids the Separatists had and maybe take on General Grievous. I've asked you this many times my friend if your planning to do anymore reviews on the Bad Batch series so forgive me for bugging you on this. Episode 4 the Bad Batch going to Pantora and seeing Fennec Shand in animation. It's obvious the Kaminoans hired her to capture Omega because they want to produce a superior Clone since the new Empire wants to phase out the Clone Army

“Doombringer” is an awesome name for a droid

I remember wanting galaxies so badly but being just a lowly 8 year old could not afford to own games with service charges lol.

Would love a comic where HK meets the IG droids and inspires them to make their droid rebellion while he goes in search of the Foundry (which he doesn’t remember it’s location since his memory was wiped.) He reaches it and thrawn’s interest is peaked because he can create a massive AI army that he could control just like he always dreamed. Would be fun!

This doesn't reflect the HK-47's tactical thinking that we know, kinda odd for him.

So I don't imagine hk would mass produce himself, his whole subplot in Kotor 2 was him proud of being unique. Also he stated that mass produce d versions of him would make assassinations harder

Revan constructed HK-47 using Czerka's HK-24 design as the basis for his model and included several of his own upgrades.

How in the world did a group of spacers defeat a droid army???

The Mispronunciation Of HK by Leaning oh the H sound is unnecessary and inaccurate. HK-47 as in the serial number for R2-D2. Sorry but this was bugging me.

I found HK-47, was funnier if you fell so the dark side... I was always curious as to what his ultimate fate was...

He didnt appear in the clone wars. He appeared on mustafar and made his droid army after he was reactivated well into the galactic civil war you dingus. He was the big bad guy in the Trials of Obi wan expansion for SWG.

HK and an army of HK inspired Droids would have wiped the floor with those spacers. That's some pretty crap writing and a disservice to HK-47 and all other HK models. Seeing HK models in action in KOTOR and SWTOR should be enough to show that HK would not have put up such a weak showing. Instead they treated him as if he was no better then a crappy battle droid. HOT GARBAGE!

The mass produced versions were of course inferior. Kinda the point of why there is only one of him, and people went to great lengths to preserve the tech.

What a static, boring galaxy where a 4000 year old assassin droid would be so much better than one built 4000 years later to modern specifications

KOTOR should have been the prequels instead
