That looks like A LOT of wine. I don't really use wine in cooking, but my sister does, and it's maybe... a third of that. Or a fourth. There's no seasonings either and that bothers me! Not even salt or pepper. I expected them to toss fresh basil on top after it was cooked, but nah.

American Italians want all food even remotely related to pasta to be prepared exactly like it was when they emigrated to the States. Heck, even Italian cuisine in Italy itself have evolved beyond the strictness of American Italian cuisine. Some dishes aren't even served anymore in Italy, as they are concidered "outdated" and "old-fashioned" and "boring". So i wouldn't worry too much about whatever american italians have to say about your cooking :)

To each their own….but this brother….this isn’t just wrong to Italians lol this is just simply wrong. Anyone who knows anything about cooking knows this is just wrong lol you can literally get all the same ingredients…( maybe not half a bottle of wine but some wine ) and probably make a decent dish. But the way she put it together lol it’s like building a car and putting the seating ontop of the roof
