That gal can sang! Can't wait to see the Wiz. I saw the Broadway version in the 70s. I'm not going to compare the 2. This one is very different.

@Karen Hunter - I caught a clip of one of your shows on KZread and went to XM radio to subscribe because it sounds like a good time… but, I have one issue - which stopped me from subscribing; XM lists your shows by the title of the guest. For instance, the way it appears on my iPhone is: “April 5, 2024: Roy Wood Jr/Darryl Bell” that’s it. Is your show formatted like a radio show where you just visit topics, or is it topic centered where the topic for the day is, for instance, “Remaining Friends With People Who Vote For Racism”?

so you won't subscribe based on how they format the show?

I asked because I wanted to know if that format was just the way it comes across on ITunes. But, to answer your question, since you didn’t answer mine - no. I prefer to subscribe and watch shows based upon the topic so, if I’m not interested in, “Kim Kardashian explains why she’s no longer interested in marriage…” I won’t listen to that show. I prefer political topics, etc. So, the video I caught was about a Trump supporter. But, if that was just a clip and the format is like a talk show where there are a lot of different topics, that’s not my interest… but, on second thought, I’ll subscribe anyway because you’re a sister.

The Wiz has devolved esthetically, at least when it comes to the Lion, as he originally had an afro.

Who is the "Karen" in the back who can't keep still and is disturbing the person standing solitary as he listens...? The camera person is off, too...Do they understand that this is archival oral history being created NOW?

Saw this stage version in LA and it was absolutely terrible. I will just continue to L❤VE the monumental lavish chic incredible film version with the incomparable Diana Ross and the brilliant Michael Jackson and cast. Diana Ross is my favorite Dorothy, and THE WIZ film is the most extravagant and creative heartfelt version of them all. This new Broadway stage conception was absolutely High School amateurish level at best. I will say all the main cast leads were great vocalists. But that is the only positive.

@thewizboy, You obviously didn’t see The Wiz on Broadway 1975 lead 17yr old Stephanie Mills . Not all staged version make the grade. The film was phenomenal,
