Kam Chancellor, and Eric Berry would like to have a word with you. But? I sort of agree. That type of mold of safety? Is gone now. There are no more true Superstars at that position in the league anymore. The last ones were Eric Berry, Earl Thomas, and Kam Chancellor. They all either had issues with devastating injuries ending their careers too early, or in Thomas case? They were headaches in the locker room, and off the field. Which caused him to end the career earlier than expected. Those types of safeties are no longer seen anywhere in the league sadly.

Those guys might not have had the small sample size with large statistics that Sean Taylor had? But, both of them were Superstars at safety. @Shailix your either a Redskin fan, or casual to say Berry, and Chancellor were nowhere near the level of Taylor. That's almost blasphemous. Eric Berry in college at Tennessee? Was single handedly a game wrecker. He blew out 2 Achilles, and an ACL, MCL, and Meniscus while in the pros. As well as beat Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Yet? Still came back at an all pro level. What would Berry have been had he been healthy all his career? On the flip side? What happens if Taylor was still alive and played as hard as he did? You really think he enjoys a 10-12 year career with a healthy body when he's blowing people up like that? John Lynch, and Brian Dawkins were about the only guys I remember playing that reckless for the entirety of their careers, and not having it cut short.

Sean Taylor is my favorite all-time football player and a lot of people don’t realize the special talents and skills he possessed. The man was built different and made an impact on the game. It’s really unfortunate that his life was taken from him so early, the man was a true star and he had turned his life around to be a great father to his daughter and a great fiancé to his fiancée. Sean Taylor was great in every aspect.

I know his time in the league was short-lived, but Sean Taylor is the greatest safety that I've ever seen with respect to Ed Reed, Ronnie Lott, Rod Woodson, Steve Atwater, Brian Dawkins, John Lynch, etc. Sean's head and shoulders above them all...the absolute total package. R.I.P. Sean...you were taken from us all way too soon!
@Ginga

Sean remains my all-time favourite player but this is a wild statement. If you want to call him the most physically talented safety ever, I can fully get behind that. Considering his size, he was probably a bigger hitter than all of them. But to say he was head and shoulders above them all is going too far. Woodson had 70+ career picks and Ed and Lott both had 60+. Woodson and Lott both made All-Pro at all three secondary positions. We can imagine what Sean could have been based on 3.5 seasons and project but there are no guarantees. Those players actually had ridiculous careers.

After he got drafted to a rival team I always remember thinking “Damn I hope the redskins lose but Sean ends up with like 2 picks.” This guy was the reason I switched from running back to defensive back in high school.

EVERYONE KNOWS. Sean Taylor is no secret...🙄
He’s one of the very few “what ifs” in sports where the stories and potential isn’t hype, it’s very true
His murder still hurts till today, very sad story for an amazing talent! It don’t matter that I’m a Eagles fan. I’m here for Mr. Sean Taylor.🙏💯.

Im an Eagles fan and I think Sean Taylor would be up their with Brian Dawkins as one of the greatest safetys of that era
His career was cut short RIP him and it’s a good day when non stop post
That was always the most notable thing about watching Taylor. He was involved in EVERY play in someway; always in the right place at the right time.
A life and a career cut far too short. Quite possibly the best safety of all time. Alas we will never know for sure. RIP
He was my favorite player at the time. Watching Atwater in the 90s is what made me a football fan. He was the only other safety I've seen play like that to this day
Ed reed on the same college team is crazy
I know his time in the league was short-lived, but Sean Taylor is the greatest safety that I've ever seen with respect to Ed Reed, Ronnie Lott, Rod Woodson, Steve Atwater, Brian Dawkins, John Lynch, etc. Sean's head and shoulders above them all...the absolute total package. R.I.P. Sean...you were taken from us all way too soon!

Jack Tatum is the greatest. Tatum hit harder than ALL of the guys you've mentioned, including Sean Taylor. Jack "The Assassin" Tatum is the safety that Ronnie Lott looked up to.
I’m a big hurricane fan and remember watching him play in college. After he got drafted to a rival team I always remember thinking “Damn I hope the redskins lose but Sean ends up with like 2 picks.” This guy was the reason I switched from running back to defensive back in high school. Remember leaving work the day they announced he passed away and although I was in my very early 20’s I cried. Crazy, I never met him or got to see him in person but this guy was IT. Gone way too soon.
His life was cut short when he was not just going through a whole character arc on the field but off the field. He absolutely treasured his family especially when his daughter came into the picture. Honestly I think he would have been the greatest safety ever.
Sean Taylor well never be forgotten legendary NFL safety. He had a whole generation of young boys wanting to be like him. Forever 21
It’s a good day when Nonstop uploads
As a Cowboys fan he was a great player and would've been legendary, and probably would've been in the hall or on his way by now, I was worried about playing the Redskins when they drafted him
One of my favorite players ever. Very tragic how his life got cut short
Facts and tbh his first 3 season proved he was the Goat
You will forever be loved out here in DC R.I.P.SEANTAYLOR 1
Top 2, right next to Ed Reed. My friend at the time was a super-fan of Taylor's and it started to rub off on me after a while, even though I was a Ravens fan. I ended up buying a practice worn/signed glove from Sean Taylor.. such a shame some criminals had to end his life, way too short.

@@shinoobigod3363r u referring to winning rings cuz that’s a team achievement my man. And Sean Taylor was literally a mix of the two greatest safety’s ever, ed reed snd polamalu. I find it hard to believe that Sean Taylor isn’t the greatest individual safety we’ve ever seen. Idk what u mean when u say “he did nothing to prove it” like bro he was literally the best safety in the league statically when he was alive😂also he played a completely different role than ed reed. Reed was a ball hawk and kind of a rover. Taylor was a true strong safety who could ball hawk almost to the level of reed

Love these videos.
Never seen a safety like him since!
My first memorable interaction with KZread back in the mid 2000s was watching Sean Taylor Highlights 💜
Watching him since he was a hurricane and he showed he was on the path to being the greatest of all time. It translated on the field at every level. On those who love football can be as great as Sean Taylor
Loved watching Sean Taylor play and seeing the way he moved on the field at his size - another level to many NFL players. Had every chance to become the best safety ever.
A Legend! I Remember Watching Him Play Growing Up And Going Out oN The Field Trying To Do What He Did . R.I.P To One Of The Greatest NFL Safeties To Ever Play! 🙏🏾🫶🏾
Somehow, I stumbled upon this video. Very recent, too. Nice footage. I just recently purchased a Mitchell & Ness White 2007 Legacy jersey. I truly believe he would’ve been one of the all-time greatest safeties to play. I believe he definitely would’ve been a HOFer.
Gone Too Soon But Will Never Be Forgotten R.I.P. Mr Sean Taylor #21 💯🙌🏾🙏🏾🕊️
Being named after this legend it hits hard knowing he’s a legend I will never be able to see play in real life.
Him, roy williams from the cowboys and Polamalu were the reasons i fell in love with the game. Growing up i wasnt very skilled, but was fast and loved to hit so saftey was the obvious posoition for me. RiP legend
He was the real deal , life cut short and murdered so sad rip Sean
As an Eagles fan, the short time he played, my goodness I was thinking, we are gonna have a nightmare time as long as he’s in the division..a lot of that hard hitting style I got when I played in jr high and then hs was seeing him and Dawkins just lay foos out and hit the RBs and not caring about their body as long as they could cause damage..beautiful sight unfortunately left too soon..RIP and had you still been alive and playing at that level, easily top 10 DB of all time
I’m a Patriots fan but I own a Sean Taylor jersey. My favorite player EVER regardless of team
Finally the a video on this legend
My favorite football player of all I modeled my game after him also 💯💯 when he died I was in 5th grade such a sad day RIP SEAN TAYLOR
My favorite football player then and still is to this day. Sean Taylor and Sterling Sharpe deserve to be in the hall of fame regardless of their careers cut short. They were pure dominance.
He was leading the league in picks only halfway through the season in '07 he had something like 7 ints, he picked off Favre 3x and dropped a fourth in that Green Bay game...special player!!
The man only played like 4 seasons before he passed rip. Yet he’s still to this day considered one of the best safeties of all time. That’s insane!! What a legend
I was in 6th grade when he passed away I cried then & when I watch videos like this I cry again as a grown man. He was one of a kind
When he died that was the first I literally cried for someone who wasn't in my immediate family. When I first heard he got shot, I was thinking ok, no doubt he pulls through. But when I learned that he died... Man smdh crushing feeling. Dawg was beast!
Man…I love the number 21 cause of this man. I played football cause of this guy. Everytime I would make an INT or a big hit I would yell “Sean Taylor!!”
