How GOOD was Rashad Evans Actually?
Rashad Evans had everything it took to be the greatest. The NCAA Division 1 wrestler found success early in MMA with his grappling expertise and that only propelled to greater heights once he developed his striking and began to finish fights in brutal fashion. Match this with his speed, strength and athleticism and it came to no shock that he was going to capture UFC gold. But he didn't hold the belt for very long and ended his career on a rough note. So how good was Rashad Evans actually?

I'll be honest. That era the UFC was just stacked with talent. There were so many great fighters.

Rashad survived 5 Rounds with a young Jon Jones. He even got mounted at one point and took hardly any damage. He really should have been a MW. I remember wanting him to go down to MW to challenge Anderson Silva....ah the good ol' days
Man he fought and whooped some legendary fighters. He is a legend himself!!
I'm a fan of MMA because of Rashad Evans I remember watching The Ultimate Fighter DVD set while stationed at Ft. Sill loving that final fight a true David vs Goliath match.
