Good video as always. Just have to mention that saying Noah and Deng were 'pretty good' is an understatement. Both were allstars and excellent defenders. Noah was DPOY and an MVP candidate one year. Had a unique skillset. Deng is one of the more underrated players of late 2000s/early 2010s. He's not as good as Kawhi, but in that mould of not flashy but effective. His defense was underrated. Great system player. Good job for the NBA he was never a Spur in his prime.

Back then, I've always seen D-Rose as that guy who never showed emotions. It's just so heartwarming to see that 50pt game to the point I actually shed a tear.

If his body could have handled everything he threw at it, I think he would easily be a top 5-10 player of all time. We didnt even see him at his best, probably. He is basically a smarter Westbrook with a shot, he would have dominated if it wasnt for all the injuries. But then again, the injuries were to be expected seeing how he landed every single time. Such a shame he never reached his full potential. You can see he really wants it. His 50 point game shows he still cares immensely for the game.

You could see how much that meant to Derrick in his post game interview, his teammates mobing him on the court after that, and all the fan’s cheering too. Realistically were looking at the best case for D Rose right now. He can give you at best in the right situation about 18 ppg., 5 reb., 5. asst. with about 25 to 30 min. on a nightly basis, which is great. This is going to have to be on a team where he is no higher than the third scoring option. Much like the roles of Tony Kukoc and Ron Harper during the Bulls last three titles in the 90's. Tony and Ron had been known as scorers before going to the Bulls (Ron with the Cavs and Clips/ Tony overseas) but would be no more than 3rd or 4th options with the Bulls, which was perfect for someone like Ron who had his own battles with injuries which effected his game a lot. Rose would be perfect on a team coming off the bench as a focused scorer during times where you want to rest your one or two option without losing to much on the offensive end. But he does best when the offense can flow through him, he just can't do it for 30 min plus anymore without risking injury. I would have liked to see him with the Lakers over Rondo backing up Lonzo or with a combo of him and Lonzo on the floor when Lebron is resting. The Lakers could have also used him with Lebron on the floor with Lebron playing off ball as well. I just hope the Wovles continue to use his talent once all their players are back and on the same page. I'm just happy for the guy but its bitter sweet because this would have probably been his last max deal years if he had been able to stay healthy during the last couple of years at least. Instead even if he does keep it up and get sixth man this year his max money days are over and that's a crime for a guy with as much talent and heart as this kid.

I agree and have always said that Derrick Rose’s MVP season was the beginning of this dominant PG era that we’re in now. Guys like CP3, Nash, and A.I. came before but Drose was a different animal.

You forgot to mention how Derrick Rose didn't have the luxury of playing with another superstar for the majority of his career, like Westbrook, or another player who can run the offense like, James Harden, which also contributed to his injuries, since he had to overburden himself offensively.

Rose's 50 point game I think was one of my most favourite NBA moments since I started watching in 2009. Honestly right up there with Dirk winning a championship (both are two of my all-time favourite players). It just felt like that game was like Derrick letting out a sigh of relief for all he's been through the past 6 years. It broke my heart seeing him get waived last season and it taking weeks to find a new team, but I'm happy that he's back to thriving with the Timberwolves. Side note, I think DSJ is the closest playstyle wise that we've seen to Rose. That being said I don't think he has the same ceiling.

Derrick Rose made me fall in love with the game of basketball when I was in middle school. I didn’t really care for sports, but my mom got my brother nba 2k14 for Christmas and decided to get a copy for me as well because I was honestly a no life gamer at the time. I was so trash that I ended up getting drafted by the Chicago bulls in the late first round. I didn’t know shit about the team besides the fact it was Michael Jordan’s old team and decided to look up their roster/highlights and I was absolutely amazed by what Derrick Rose was doing.

@Paul Meras learn what the hell prime means before using your own dumb logic. A Prime player is one that is at their absolute best. You don't assume that they're going to be better than their early years because players like Tyreke Evans, Michael Carter Williams, and Brandon Jennings all had decreasing career numbers but they were entering their supposed Prime. Derrick Rose's Prime was definitely his MVP season whether you believe it or not. What is up with idiotic fans and their pointless what ifs? Who's to say Derrick wouldn't have fell off by the age 30? I know he wouldn't have but still. You can't assume when his absolute best will be.

Derrick Rose is for me, in a game where three-pointers matter most, a Form of resistance. What happens when 3-pointers are not going in?! You go closer. I see nowadays players in fastbreak steppin back and shoot 3s. IN A FASTBREAK!!! This is why Derrick Rose is still one of the most dedicated players in his basketball plays. Good to see him healthy and do what he does best.

*I'm not a T-wolves fan but I am a D. Rose fan, so I've been keeping track of his stats and game throughout this season. He's quietly been having a decently nice season, including a 30pt or so game that he had vs Dallas. He doesn't quite have the vertical that he had in 2011, but he can still finish at the basket, still moves extremely well laterally, and isn't afraid to attack. Hopefully he remains healthy and gets a huge confidence build off this game and we see a somewhat revival of D. Rose.*
