Amulet coin, preevolutions are meh, he's got payday which breaks the economy, no meowthium z but SWSH gave meowth a Gigantomax form. His Gigantamax form breaks the economy even more since with it can get you $99,999 every battle. They both have their strengths.

This video shows one of the best things about your modern videos. When a Pokémon is low tier, in the old videos it was “They weren’t OU.” And you moved on. But now, you actually detail how they did in whatever tier. Which I appreciate. It gives the videos more content, and gives some love to ‘The other tiers.’ Which I feel get ignored a lot.

Weezing by my recollection has largely only had downs. But it was pretty present in Gen 3 I recall, so maybe it might be more interesting than I remember.

If Persian had a higher base attack, (at least 90) it's gen 1 auto-crit Slash would be lethal since it gets STAB.

I feel you! I started requesting Persian when Jolteon and Vaporeon got episodes and have continued on all the way until now... It was tough as there were plenty of times we almost win and came close and times we did not stand a chance, but we kept at it and gained publicity, which than caused many others to ask for Persian and made us able to pull it off! I'm still watching this video as I can't believe it happended! WE FINALLY GOT PERSIAN 🐱😸👍!!!

Couple minor errors, slash itself is just Base Speed/64 to crit (eg Sandslash is too slow to get the "guaranteed" crit). So Persians slash is in theory 100% to crit, except you can "gen 1 miss" the crit, though you need to roll a 0 on the certainty check rather than 255 with a gen 1 miss. So even though Persian's speed SHOULD make it 100% to crit it ends up at 99.4%

I thought it was calculated at something like 97.6% by Smogon, but I could be wrong. It was still ridiculously high. I had the same Persian on my Yellow and its Slash crit chance was high enough that I never saw it not crit lol.

Alolan Muk was very good in VGC 2017. Actually top tier since many teams in the high ranks of VGC tournaments had it alongside trick room teams to counter the new legendaries like tapu koko and others.

I Love Classic Persian as it has Always been my Favorite Pokemon! I'll admit I did not like Alolan Persian at first, but after seeing how it is valuable to use and such, I got attached to it and now like it as my favorite Alolan form as bizzare as that sounds! Jaiden Carvalho when I first read Alolan Persian's Pokédex entry of it being 'spoilt and owned by royalty' (before I actually saw the new Persian) I thought "how could they make normal Persian even more spoilt and conceited? I’ve always liked Persian’s design, but it’s just weird to me how its name is just, like, the word for people of Iranian descent lol? Like I know it’s named after a Persian Cat specifically, but Kantonian Persian doesn’t even look like that type of cat. At the very least they could have doubled down on the cat pun and called it “Purrsian” or something. Definitely one of the weirder Gen 1 translations

Don't know how I haven't subbed yet considering I've watched almost all of your guys' videos. Finally subbed, can't wait for more Pokemon and Smash Bros. vids!

Just goes to show how important typing and abilities are vs the stat block. When Persian got its Alolan form, not much changed stat wise however, its type and ability brought it back to top tier in VGC when previously it was bottom of the barrel material.

I kinda like the Intro but it seems a bit too much. It looks great and plays smoothly but I feel like the regular "straight into the video" style fits the content and channel better than the new Intro. Then again it's only my opinion hehe

I agree. It is very sleek, but to have that at the start as well as the typical introduction to the pokémon of the week feels unnecessary, since we are now watching two intros to the series. If they want to keep it, then fair enough - it's their channel - but I thought I would echo this opinion, as well.

Tauros had it harder mostly due to power creep where Persian sunk harder then a rock in water

So Persian is a cat that started at the top that ended up falling for years until alolan Persian did reasonably well... guess you could say... The cat landed on it's feet😎

The seventh gen was the first gen i got to play competitively, and Alolan Persian was at the center of my first participation in an oficial tournament, and it honestly worked, with a set kinda exactly like the one mentioned in VGC. The whole roster was Tapu Lele, Kartana, Araquanid, Alolan Marowak, Alola Persian and Alola Ninetales, if im not wrong.

That intro lookin clean though, nice

I used a Persian in my Leafgreen nuzlocke. Because it can learn Shadow Ball and Pay Day, it was a great member of the team. Unfortunately, it, along with MIMIEN, Hitmonlee, and Graveler died against Blue.

Jaiden Carvalho absolutely! Once we got so close, I knew we had to stick with it

I actually had a lead Persian on my White version that swept a team of Smogon-standard Latios, Darkrai, Deoxys-D, Keldeo, Palkia, and Kyogre. It had no clauses, so the Latios had Soul Dew. The opponent assumed I was using a standard Persian rather than a unique set I'd come up with, which was the main mistake. Through no fault of their own, the Persian was primed to sweep them with no way to stop it after the 2nd or 3rd turn. I wasn't actually expecting it to sweep so cleanly. I had a Mewtwo, Mawile, Sableye, Shuckle, and Spinda ready to go in the back lol.

With the right team balance I have seen Alolan Persian do decent in higher tiers like UU and OU as well, it brings just the right utility to be a fantastic support for the team!

I love my current Persian set. Although admittedly it did better in ORAS rather than USUM. BUT for the tier it's in, it does work! Modest Nature with max speed and Sp.Atk EVs sitrus berry held item with technician ability. Nasty plot, swift, icy wind and substitute. Very reliable pokemon
