@@MayheM_646 Imo Costacurta was highly consistent and purely world class, and being a part of the greatest back four shows his quality. But I think Nesta tops it on how he reminded the Rossoneri that Baresi lives with them forever. He's more complete, and created golden moments. Nesta was a whole mood.

I started watching football when he was at his prime. From my point of view, I don't know if he's the best defender there was, but he sure is the sexiest.

He was the most complete defender, only if he stayed fit every season! He had the most accurate tackles by a defender.

I liked Maldini Stam Nesta, n Cafu....That back line was prolly the best, because theres Costacurta n Kaladze too!! Costacurta is another in there from 2 eras like Maldini!!
My favorite defenders I have seen live are maldini, nesta, Roberto Carlos, vidic and Dani alves
