I dig them, honestly. I like theses over the black colorway mainly because i just prefer the brighter colorways. I was mainly here to see the shoe and see if there's an updated release date for these.

I think the yellow along with the yellow straps give the off-white its just due. I would rock these either with some sweats or some stone washed blue levi's and a jean jacket

I actually like these. I think Virgil managed to do an "aged white" upper color that doesn't look bad. Going for a fire red type look definitely helps too

Look. Virgil could take a dump on a shoe and people would pay for it. It’s hype train. These are decent though. I don’t hate the black midsole. I also like the yellow eyelets

Honestly like the shoe overall. The only part where I felt like they could've toned down the aging was the yellowing on the plastic eyelids. If the yellowing was less dramatic it would've been better imo.

Im willing to pay resell price so these are a 9/10 for me. A nice change from the bright white OG pair. Way better than the black pair too btw.

I take an L on EVERY Off-White. Really hope these break the drought.

This shoe is crazy!!! We all cry and complain about them putting out the same shoe year after year they step out the box for us and that ain't good enough. I love both pair but the white pair is much better

I totally agree with you, the black pair was a home run, these kinda fall short, I would’ve instead liked Virgil to do the black tongue fire red 5s, I just prefer the blocking on the black tongues, I’ve always felt that black midsole on the metallics be way too dominating.

The Black Pair is super dope and these may be even better. The ow 5s are hella underrated compared to the 4s imo

I love the aged look i rlly hope i can score a pair for retail

hi guys! I got both black and sail colorways.After wearing the sail ones, and obviously make them dirty, I'm having lots of problems to clean them up. Using different products, when cleaning, the dirty seems to slide more inside the shoes. How do you clean them up?

These are so beautiful, especially in person. I was able to get my pair a few days ago. Definitely a grail next one is the black pair but no rush since they are expensive 😭

If you never saw the black pair would you still give these a 4? I’m thinking that you are rating them in comparison to the black, in which case I would also give them a 4. But overall, I would say 6.5.

Watching this actually made me like them more even though you weren’t a huge fan. I went from a 4-5 to 8-9 on these.

The black are definitely more appealing but if the price is right I’m jumping on these. I like these over the OG white all day. The comfort on these off white 5’s and slim design are definitely better that the OG.

Totally agree with Foamie here, black version is sneaker of the year for me...really love my pair, but with these i prefer virgil version with cream midsole.

agreed. I feel like Virgil just switched it up on the official release because so many reps of the cream midsole version had already became available months ago.

Can't agree w you guys on this one. I hated the black ones bc they look like they need lotion, just ashy. These look super crisp. And TBH they don't look "aged" at all. I will say I like the sample pair the best with the cream midsole. If I cop that's the 1st thing Im doing is painting the midsole. BTW you're right about the shark teeth they're my fav part of the J5 too.

I see these as more of a homage to the OG Fire Red 5s compared to the dark pair, so I prefer these Sails and had to have them.

This is by far and away my favorite off white collaboration

I think stark black midsole throws off the balance of the yellowing aged look. Maybe a charcoal would have worked better.
