The one that started it all for me. I remember waking up at 5am before school and saw these on KZread back in 2012. Told my pops I wanted to get them, and he was shocked because it was early as hell and out of nowhere. Anyway, we didn’t have the money for them so I just looked ahead, saved, and ended up getting the Obsidian’s that released a month or two later, and I beat them joints to the ground. Glad I can say that I hit on SNKRS today and finally got ‘em. Crazy how times have changed!

Crazy to think the last time these dropped was a DECADE ago, even crazier is the fact that 2012 was that long ago 🤯

The beautiful thing is my “back in the day” was the last release 2012. I was in HS, 11th grade and wanted em so bad . Two different eras for us probably, same love for the sneaker 🔥

I agree with you. 10 out of 10. One of my favorite sneakers of any brand of all time. I can still remember the first time I saw these when the originals came out back in middle school. I have loved them ever since.

I had these as a kid… and loved ‘em… the OGs were my favorite. I had them in like 3rd grade I think yeah. But the eyelets felt more metal as a kid. I loved this color way.

Got them in hand and compared the ‘22 pair to the ‘12 pair and there’s a few differences. 2012 “Jordan” on the heel tab is red while the 2022 is white, 2012 Jumpman on the outsole is red while the 2022 is black, different pattern on the bottom and the eyelets are silver on the ‘12 while the ‘22 has a hint of bronze. Both are still good pairs

I've noticed that alot of people's first pair ends up being their favorite all time. I think its pretty cool. My first pair were "hand me downs" (parents would never pay for Jordans lol) cool grey 11s. They were worn in by the time I got them but I didn't care one bit I still loved them.

these are my first pair of 12's.. I've never really been a fan of 12's until very recent.. besides the flu games & gamma 12's i still never cared for em.. but i got alot of og retros sittin & i felt i should cop just because.. & im glad i did.. im actually mad i sold an extra pair & should've doubled up cause i can't wait to wear em.. I've always been a jordan 13, 11, & 6 sneakerhead.. (in that order) but these playoffs really spoke to me & kinda woke me up.. it's the black based tumbled leather for me.. so with that being said i need the og flu games to retro.. i'll be doubling up on these playoffs if lucky enough to hit on a restock..
