How good are Swordsmen and Crusaders in Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Horn of the Abyss expansion (Homm3 HotA)? Let's find out!

The unit tested will face six trials:
- Castle Attack
- Battle vs. A Horde
- Battle vs. Elite
- Battle vs. Missile Units
- Battle vs. Army
- Castle Defense
They will score points from these, as well as from abilities in campaign map, construction chain costs and from the army costs. The army is determined by 20 weeks of growth. The tested units will be controlled by human, and tactics can be used.

One thing is sure about crusaders, if they can hit you without retail... it will hurt!

Agreed on that :) Thanks for the comment.
Double hit are one of the ability for blessing. Avarege dmg of 1 unit is 17 per round for 2 strikes, and with bless - 22. It's like +30% for t1 spell. Probably, only marksman is better. It's a shame, that there is not magic round, like unit with shit amount of buff spell vs imposible cretures, like 100 white bears. It will be hillarious

Thanks for the comment. Agreed that buff round would be interesting. Well... maybe for the next test :)
If even Swordsmen get 8/8 against Hordes... Also, Crusaders getting the same score vs Elites when they at least managed to kill 3 Rust Dragons but Swordsmen barely hurt anything is unfortunate. Crusaders do hit pretty hard, though.

The most important tests for those 2 units were assult shooters and siege. Imo Horde is to test weakest units only. then army and elite is to test the strongest units 🤷♂️

Thanks for the comment. Agreed, if the scale were more granular, the Crusaders would shine quite a bit more :)
