First, the map is not correct. The island of Fehmarn was and still is situated in Schleswig-Holstein (former west). Second, the solidarity tax wasn’t only for west Germans, it was paid for by all Germans in a reunited country, no matter if they paid taxes in Saxony or the Saarland.

Post war East Germany's most populated areas were industrial strongholds of Saxony, Saxony Anhalt and Thuringia that had the usual left leaning workforce

@@notroll1279 the east german lands always had a big political devide forexample look at the election map of december 1924 you can clearly see the hardcore monarchist party DNVP haveing its center around berlin ------ and if you take a look at the 1932 (july) election the NSDAP alse performed the worst OUTSIDE of east germany espacily the arch conservative catholics in the rural rhine and bavaria rejected them

Yes and no, it will probably be too difficult to do it considering that most of North Korea is brainwashed by the North Korea government, yes east germany did brainwashed there population BUT not to this extreme what North Korea has. Yes things can change but not until the kin family is removed from power, and I don't see that changing this soon🔥🔥😐🔥🔥

I don't think it's been entirely successful. Kohl promised East Germans very quick access to Western wealth and did not prepare them for the total collapse of most East German employers and ensuing unemployment. The currency exchange of 2 East German Marks for 1 DM (1 on 1 for savings up to a certain threshhold) gave East Germans some money to play with initially but wiped most East German production off the market right away. There was too little effort made to bring East Germans' qualifications to full recognition (i.e. by added training), so many East Germans felt obsolete on the job market. Admittedly - there was no precedent of merging a communist planned exconomy knto a market based system, so mistakes were bound to happen - but they were made and led many to doubt core democratic values and seek a glorified past that never existed instead.

If I could travel back in time I would go to witness Miterand and even more Thatcher go completely bonkers from November 11 in '89 to October 3 in '90. Look at historical cartoons about the topic of German reunion and you'll know what I mean.
