because enough of them remeber what their grandparents told them about life under the last fascist government. Never Again isn't just about the concentration camps
It at least shows that sensible people will band together and stop arguing when the alternative is disaster. That's not much, but better than the alternative.
They lost because of the groups people always seem to call the "Minority".
On that day, the Palestinian flag was flying above the French flag. This is how France fell. A nation's election should be about the country itself, not about another country
It’s always just “left” and then “far right”
They actually did better than any other party: RN got 10.1 million votes, the Left bloc 7 million, and Macron's centrists 6.6 million - just unfortunately not in constituencies where it mattered to change the outcome
I mean they lost because the others tricked the system to be fair lol
It seems evil is everywhere.
Simple fact: in the second round Mélenchon’s Left Alliance lost 2.4% in vote share while RN’s share increased by 3.8%. Whatever your views on the policies of the various factions, that is what happened. In the UK election Reform achieved 14% of the vote and got 5 seats.

@@matt01506 what's the point if you are going to lie anyways? 🤷♂️
you mean far-left.
Why the Nazis lost.
" how far left lead to a split vote" would perhaps be more accurate

The left DESTROYED the racist right.
As Joe Stalin said, it's not the vote, it's who does the counting!
Because politics and voting is theatre.. the cabal put who they want where they want
NOT the Far right just PATRIOTS
The fact that le pen had 10 mil votes but yet macron and the left had 7 mil, must of been using the US voting system 😂😂😂😂
I flippin' love the Comments! Where the jounalism of realism abides
"what now for French politics?" you say. Student Marxism by the looks of it. Good luck with that. 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
you forgot it was the extreme left....not just the left
The Right haven't lost!!
By the way, claiming that someone illegally in France, already arrested 25 times and asked to leave formally, should be deported, is NOT the definition of "far right".
The Times is the new Daily Sun.....how embarrassing
_There you go again with that "far-right" BS._
The west is doomed
probably by cheating is the answer.
I guess Farage was "stopped" too, since Reform didn't get a lot of seats. But it got to a massive vote from nowhere and the Conservative party may be mortally wounded so spinning it as a loss takes a lot of spinning. Same for LePen, whose vote massively increased. Saying a surge has been stopped when it is actually making so much progress is blatant gaslighting.
They had a tantrum in Paris.
Marine's RN, i assume, has won the largest number of votes & RN party individually(without alliance) have won the largest number of 125 MP seats

How France’s far-left stopped a right surge | The Story Fixed it for you.
Unsurprising for a country which eats slugs.
The far left stopped the centre right
It's a shame but France is gone. Would really liked to have visited some time , but no more.
Hmmn, seems an abuse of democracy to me.
