this just feels like a love letter to the whole SMP,,, just love the fact that you included practically everyone!! and i really like how you drew them all,, tbh just the art in general here is so smooth and good and?? yes all of the different scenes you included,, god they're all just so good!! (eret losing his crown is a stand out to me) but especially at the end where it shows how they all progressed?? i love that so much. dude that would be my favourite part if it wasn't for the fact you drew SO MANY moments just for a split second moment that are all just. my gosh i love them all so much. you included the karaoke stand I,, god this is so good. i can't believe you did this in a WEEK. mad respect. i really hope someone from the smp sees this at some point bc man.

I thought that the ending scene of all the panels flashing by was a rewind of the rest of the video at first, but when I paused to look closer I realized that they were all new, unique frames! Not only that, but the scenes depicted in them were all so cute :] I can't imagine how long this must've taken and how much love and passion was sewn into it. Thank you so much for blessing us with this creation

things that I loved about this animatic: I love how you showed literally every person who participated in the arc of L'manburg, and the war 1:00 Wilbur watching his nation's wall's being destroyed is well drawn 1:15 how Niki's crying aligns with the lyrics "I started crying, and I couldn't stop." 1:22 I like how you drew Dream as he actually is. 1:31 this scene is drawn really well, and I love the intense fear in Tubbo's eyes. 1:35-1:42 how Techno looks so bored while Tommy is so distraught 1:50 how it flickers between Eret as King and Eret when he betrayed L'manburg, and in the next few scenes where it shows him turning away from those memories is a really nice way to show Eret's redemption arc. 2:15 How Schlatt's drunken heart attack while surrounded by enemies and traitors, aligns with the lyrics "if it's over for me, then it's over for you." because Schlatt did say something similar in his final moments. 2:24 I like how you drew Tubbo with a scar 2:33: techno and his withers is drawn well. 2:48 George building his house :) 2:52 most people don't include the badland characters, but I'm glad you did. 2:55- 3:12 how you drew Niki, Fundy, Eret, Quackity, Tubbo, and Tommy's arcs, I feel like many people forget about them. I'm especially happy you drew Niki's arc. I feel like many people forget about the roles she played in the Revolution and the Election. 3:13 how the red blood is the only color in this scene. Also how Wilbur is smiling, showing he is finally at peace in death. 3:15 I originally thought that you reused the same scenes, but I paused it and saw that you drew completely new scenes, and I think that extra effort deserves to be recognized. :) 3:19 Ending your animatic with the drug van was an excellent idea because L'manburg was originally just Tommy and Wilbur's drug van, and it ties in with the "let's see how far we've come" theme. The music, the art, and the expressions were all perfect, I love this animatic dearly, and I love the effort you put into it. Thank you for making this :)

All the while, even further away, in a quaint small village far from the modern ways, the Mindcrackers, Guude Generik, Nebris et all, are still quietly going about their business.

Also, matching the lyrics of, "oh well, I guess we're gonna pretend," with the frame of George building his house! Him pretending everything is normal when he definitely knew there was a war going on. I love the detail!

dudeeee this was so good, I already had emotional ties to this song because of the percy jackson fandom and watching this almost made me cry. all the drawings were well drawn, I love your designs for everyone, the scenes fit the song really well. gsdfgsdfgskdfgj I'm gonna watch this so many times, also, thank you for putting H in an animatic, it was something I wanted for so long

I’d like to let you know that I cried and it made my day. It’s so.. nostalgic?? The fact that I was able to witness this makes me shed a tear, and this animatic really captures how it feels to look back. ALSO EVERYBODY’S DESIGN?? I AM AMAZED BY KARL’S DESIGN AND YOU HAVE EVERYBODY IN HERE. HOLY HELL YOU EVEN HAVE HBOMB IN HERE. You captured everything perfectly. Nostalgia hits hard and you captured that. ❤️

THIS WAS SO GOOD! There were so many nice moments thrown in, like the animation of Phil looking back at, "if you've got someone you can say goodbye to." And all the unique frames flashing by at the end! So much care and detail went into this, and I love that you highlighted others like Niki and Eret, and that you even included people like Ponk and Punz! Underrated people who deserve a bit more credit sometimes. So much care and detail is obvious, and it's so cool. (And I cracked up at happy King George building his house at, "Oh well, I guess we're gonna pretend." Loool, him and his happy mushroom house while literal war is happening across the street.)

3:17 no one talked about the Iskall cameo!! Honestly, the most underrated moment of Dream SMP

wow. wowowo woew ooow owowow. I'm emotional as hell, this is absolutely incredible. That one shot where Philza turns towards the camera in the background gave me CHILLS. This whole video is amazing.

This song is already so emotional for me but holy shit. This is so good.

I paused the fast frames and the one where techno is showing them the vault is a masterpiece. You even have Tubbo taking all the emeralds.

This legit looks like an anime finale outro, but at the same time, it captures all the details I thought I've forgotten in a matter of frames. You can see the growth and change in all the Dream SMP characters and I am so proud to say I WAS HERE. I am absolutely speechless, this is so POGCHAMP.

Yeah, I was chilling with my family and I showed them the song "Marionettes" by Kanaya. They were saying how it was a pretty cool villain song, and I was explaining what it was about, when I suddenly had a hilarious idea. I said, "Alright, I'm going to show you guys a picture of Dream, okay? So, he is the evil villain, super scary, this whole low-key creepy vibe from him in this song, and this is what he looks like:" I held up my phone, and I had a picture of Dream's Minecraft skin on it. My entire family burst out laughing, even more so when I said that it was actually him and I wasn't trolling them. They couldn't believe it!

Finally, a fandom milestone. We’ve done it. Fr tho this is incredible and I love your art wow.

They really have come so far, haven't they? I love the bit at the end where everyone is coming together for the first time in forever to fight the Withers. Hits hard man. :')

So this entire thing was absolutely beautiful and made me cry, but that animation of Philza turning his head at 1:30 was so smooth?? The way the hair fell and everything??? The expression was so clear even though you couldn't see most of his face?????

i just love how you've included the whole cast of the server and little moments that never really end up in the main storyline animatics while still showing the major plot points, i feel like those little moments bring so much life and depth and encapsulate what the charm of the smp really is. some of my favorite shots were how you animated that slight philza head turn and techno with the withers!

I really liked that last segment with the rewind of what happened during the smp and with the multiple arcs the characters have gone through

The ending showing literally how far Niki, Fundy, Eret, Quackity, Tubbo and Tommy have come made me VERY emotional- after pausing to look at all of them I especially loved the moments you chose for Quackity!!! such an underrated plotline!!!! the way everyone's outfits and hair and scars (a very cool touch for Tubbo!) changed but their expressions didn't!!!!!i am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! emotional

watched this again and i just LOVE the use of gray to signify the mood of the moment. when wil passed the presidency to tommy it was dark gray, them from tommy to tubbo was light gray, and then the shot of tubbo radiating light had an even lighter shade in the background. and in the reverse chrono moment how it get lighter to signify the lightheartedness of the past compared to the present is just [chefs kiss] i love this animatic so so so much, you can genesis did SO good and i'm so proud

Tubbo with firework scars is somthing i never knew i wanted..

lmao one of the ending scenes is everyone in techno's base and tubbo is just stealing all the emeralds, and big q selling drugs, and letting mars go, techno and potatoes, tubbo and bees.... the amount of detail in those 3 seconds is insane

I just realized how flipping interesting the storyline of the DreamSMP is- like, if i was someone who didnt know/watch the DreamSMP streams and saw this; i would just be flipping amazed and so interested to learn more

I could write out a super long, emotional comment about how amazing this animatic is and how much the Dream SMP means to me, but instead I will just say this: for the super fast montage at the end, I put it on 0.5 speed and paused at every scene. When it got to the Fundy and Hbomb one, I literally laughed for like ten minutes straight. I've never seen a more accurate expression for Fundy. Anyway... THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE AND ALMOST MADE ME CRY

DUDE ALL THE FAST FRAMES AT THE END ARE SO GOOD- because it really is all these little special moments that truly make the smp what it is :)

You did the withers techno put out justice. Every other person doing animations had good drawings aswell but ur designs and how techno defended the withers just made me smile, so keep doing what you do :D.

IT'S CINEMATICALLY COMPARABLE TO THAT SCENE IN THE RETURN OF THE KING WHEN ALL THE FELLOWSHIP ARE GATHERING IN FRODOS ROOM IN GONDOR AND YOU THINK OF HOW LONG IT HAS BEEN, YET HOW SHORT, HOW EVERYONE HAS AGED DECADES IN SO LITTLE TIME AND BECOME STRONGER FOR THE STORMS THEY HAVE WEATHERED. IM SOBBING. GOD. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH.

Y’all… remember when the worst thing was Tommy’s stolen disks? Remember when Eret first betrayed L’manburg? Remember the stupid emancipation letter and the drug empire? Remember… that was a year ago. THIS was a year ago. I’m so happy that I was here to witness this and I can’t wait for the future.

yo what no way this has everything!!!! you can see the scars on tubbo's body after techno killed him at the festival, which really killed me inside. and then the philza foreshadowing was so smart. and i just loved the bit where everyone banded together to fight techno's withers. you deserve so much for this amazing work of art, thank you for making it.

@@pomodoko oh ok! Sorry my mistake, I went and checked out the original. Loved their version (which comes from a fanfic) and I'm glad you are able to get inspired from it to make your own tribute to the dream smp. It's just so cool to see creators inspiring other creators.

I just realized that at the ending sequence as time goes back the background also changes ever so slightly from dark grey to white, probably showing how in the beginning everything was so happy and pure... Brb gonna cry at everything in this beautiful animatic

I love this so much. Instantly one of my all time favorite animatics. You included so many plot points from so many craracters, it really looks like everyone's story is covered and no one was left out - it's like the full story of the SMP, they truly have came so far. I love this. Edit: And the ending shot with Wilbur and Tommy, who started all this, next to the van. I'm crying, I'm actually crying.

i have so much to say on this holy shit ok so: - THE ART? THE LinEART? FUCKING PHENOMENAL. SO CLEAN, SO GOOD. EVEN WITH THE BARE USE OF COLOR ITS SO GOOD IM HOUGHUHUG - THE SCENE CHOICE. HOOH. ITS.. its so good im dying. huge HUGE props to your friend. it seems so rare that these animatics will focus on characters outside of the major and minor and this one takes the cake for not only including minor ones but EVEN THE BACKGROUND CHARACTERS. thank you for being one of the few reasonable people here /j in all honesty thank you for liking my take on dream! i dont really like just drawing the smp members as anime boys who cosplay their skins, but that tends to be the most popular interpretations, so I'm glad when i get support for my design of him.

I’ve watched this so many times. It’s literally my favorite out of all the animatics I’ve seen so far. The story it tells is so powerful, and the song along with it just makes it even better! I really want members of the SMP to see this!

Already enough its amazing but the fact you added the entire cast of the smp in it even the people that arent even in the plot you added and it just gives me so much nostalgia of when the smp first started and ill be honest. it made me tear up, I think this is the best dream smp animatic I've ever seen. it really made me feel something. this is amazing 10/10

This wasn't that bad of a year. Dream SMP was a good thing. Your art is so awesome and I appreciate the effort you poured in this animatic. I love your character designs especially Tubbo post-festival and Karl. Also a whole lot of awws and all that to that end bit.

This might honestly be my favorite animatic out there because while it also shows the big story, it does an amazing job of showing how the SMP is more than just the key player and characters. Everyone there has a part, has grown, has a story, and together they make the DreamSMP what it is to all us fans. Seriously, this is my favorite animatic out there. Amazing Job.

I love all of the individual shots because they show so many great parts and funny moments that we have gone threw on this great journey that we have come to see :)

ok, please note that i adore ALL FAN CONTENT of this fandom and then some, so nobody get dodgy with me about what i'm about to say aight? aight. So what i wanted to say was YES SOMEONE TOOK THE CANON CHARACTER DESIGNS AND ROLLED WITH IT HOLY HECKLEDEDEE YES. Like, i've been followin' ur hermitcraftXdreamsmp work for a while now but seeing them in adult form going through the dream smp arc had me ASCENDING. The amount of DETAIL. The lull events that went underappreciated (in terms of fan content) in favor of the bigger events were so well done too. I know bad and skeppy can't always be on but it is still so nice to have them included i stuff not just war-related. DREAM AS AN ACTUAL BLOB AND STILL INTIMIDATING?!???!!! HELL. YEAH. No pregnant pauses at all on this. Ever frame COUNTS. You wanna pause just to take each one in. 2:55 The part where their clothes are changing while a different bg represented the event for those clothes per frame was definitely pause-worthy. The sheer volume of content you managed to squeeze into this already heavy song that strikes a chord with so many fandoms is enormous. People will be rewatching this several times over just to get every little bit. Appreciation for the smoothness in these two scenes too: 1:30 for that Philza and 2:32 for that technocape ur artstyle is so soft too so to be able to paint such ominous scenes of blood and monsters without style change is pure TALENT. Hat's off to you mate. Well done.

I HAVE NO WORDS LIKE THIS SONG MEANS SO MUCH TO ME AND IS A BANGER AND LIKE EVERYONE WAS DRAWN SO BEAUTIFULLY AND THERE ARE SO MANY MOMENTS IN THAT LAST SCENE WITH THE DRAWINGS FLASHING REALLY QUICKLY THAT I REMEMBER AND I LOVE ALL OF THIS FROM THE TINY DETAIL OF TUBBO HAVING SCARS FROM HIS DEATH TO JUST ALL THE SCENES OF THE LAST WAR AND THE CARNAGE (AND GEORGE MAKING IS HOUSE)! I JUST HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS THIS MAKES MY HEART GO SQUISHY THE VIDEO IS GREAT I CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW MUCH JOY I DERIVE FROM WATCHING THIS THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS!
