True but he has some crazy healing ability. He's not just a normal player. When he got hurt for United everyone wrote him off as done. But this man came back with a tenacity and look at him now. I think he'll be fine if they decide not to play him for 90 mins in every game. 70 mins will be perfect

Why are you so fixated with the chronological age of players and people at all?!!?!? Check their physic instead and see if they are healthy or not. With mordern science and knowledge how to treat the body best you can if you do it live much longer and also do it healthy (for example is cancer mostly due to how you live and not genetics, the genetic is the buttom and the enviroment is the finger that push the buttom if you put yourself in that enviroment). Hopefully he will not listen to anyone and if he loves it play for at least 10 more chronological (how many times we have been orbiting the star Sun) years at the level he wants to. It is time people start realise that you are really as young or old as you look and act. Your body doesn´t lie to you. And you get what you give. So treat you body best way you can if you want to have long healthspan and lifespan. It is not an coincidence how it turns out. It becomes most of the time (of course there are exceptions like for all rules) what you make of it. Your body is you tempel. And where are you going to live if you don´t treat it well? That is every day, every week and all year long. What you eat and do is kind of gene theraphy. So be careful if you want to stay healthy and stay on Earth for long. Hope many more will also follow and understand that they can continue with what they want so much longer than many believes and knowes you can (they believe without facts supporting it). Live life all life (never have pension or stop living life).

They also have very good genetics to be able to be top level athletes at mid to late 30's. I think most athletes treat their body well but some people are literally just freaks of nature.

You will see that probably soon many athletes will do well even when they are over 40 chronological years (it has been a mental block/norm this far that "when are you going to start living for real or get a real job or that you are to to old now even though your body doesn´t feel that".

Future (if time exitsts) will tell. You will see. Biology is not what we thought it was. The average has nothing to do with age. But of course if you don´t treat you body well you will have "abused" it for much longer. But if you know how to treat it you will see. When you are 20 chronological years your frontal lobes aren´t even fully developed (consequence thinking, impulscontrol and much more that is important to make good choices and decisions). Nodays you there are less and less at age 20 that can have a chance in any sport at the toplevel. Those that do becomes more and more exceptions. You have many years left before you have an enough developed physique if your sport demands that. But it has been the case in the past when people and the competition wasn´t as hard as now in sports. Also many (due to "fence experts", media and social norms) stopped their careers around 30 chronological years (hard to go against norms). But finally people start to understand that it has hardly started then (hope also those that are in charge in football clubs understands that faster so they don´t waste assets of the club as players are).
