    This is so good! I really learned a lot, thank you. I struggle so much with fear of getting in past sins and it made me feel so good when you said that the Holy Ghost will deliver the individual!! And also within the last three years it really hurt me how sexual sin is in christian communities and then the Lord showed me those people are no Christians or not born again. And I believe you’re right about a believer who commits a literal act of sexual sin can’t be born again. And some people must look at how David repented in Psalm 51. It’s definitely not the same as how others repent. Others are so quick to blame the devil but David took responsibility for his sin… So that’s also what I look at to someone’s repentance. I believe the people who are like 26:48 need to get married because Paul says to get married if one is burning with passion. I think that’s why some stumble.

    I really want to visit your church and your church family one day Lord willing... Maybe in like 4 years or so when I take a vacation to the US. Btw the quote you were looking for is this one: You let me talk to a man two minutes, I can tell you whether he’s received the Holy Ghost or not; so can you. It separates them. It’s a mark. It’s a sign. And the Holy Spirit is a sign. And it’s… 59-1216 - "What Is The Holy Ghost?" Eerw. William Marrion Branham

    I am not certain about this point, but it seems to me that Brother Branham didn't mean to categorize sins as major or minor and it was just using the words of the question given to him. This seems to be especially the case when seen in the light of James 2:9-11. "But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law." Surely he who said do not lie also said do not commit adultery. Based on this I don't think the major/minor distinction can be lined up with the scripture.

    God bless you! Thanks for your kindness. We'll just have to agree to disagree. Brother Branham did say "major sin" and "major sins" in two other quotes. Also, Brother Branham said there are degrees in heaven with kings, rulers, and common people. How did some become kings while others were common people? By their works, because works is faith expressed. The kings and rulers lived the "high calling" as Saint Paul taught; they lived above the major sins. We are not saved by works, but our works demonstrate our appreciation for grace, as Brother Branham said. So, Galatians 5:18-26 and 1 Cor. 6:9-11 prove the distinction can be made between major and minor sins, in my humble opinion. Also, the life of Peter and the apostles before and after Pentecost proves this distinction as well. God bless you!

    Brother, respectfully: this was a bit of an eye-opener for myself, but Galatians 2:18 (15:08, "...if I build again the things I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor...") and 2:21(15:29, "...frustrate the Grace of God...") are not referring to sin in the way you are, in this video. In fact, somewhat hidden by the KJV language, he is referring to the law here. This is made most evident by Chapter 3 (e.g. 3:1-5), but the entire book of Galatians as a whole is in this vein. "Another Jesus" was being preached to them -- one of law, trying to impose law on these believers. Particularly in chapter 2, it is verses 3-5 that shine a light on this: "3 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised: 4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: 5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you." Basically: these "other Jesus" law-pushers hate the liberty and grace we have as Christians. (Galatians benefits from other more recent translations, e.g. NIV, which seem to detangle some of the funny grammar in the KJV here) This whole notion is beautifully summarized by Paul in his covenants allegory (chapter 4:21-31), where he so brazenly types JEWS to ISHMAEL (of flesh/carnal/law/Romans 7) and BELIEVERS to ISAAC (of the spirit/promise/grace/Romans 8). In this context, it's an eye-opener to look at 2:21 again, including the last half... Paul saying, "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the LAW, then Christ is dead in vain." ... going right into 3:1-5 --> Foolish Galatians... you started in this Christian way in the Spirit... are you now made perfect by the flesh [law]? (in other words, it frustrates God -- his Grace -- that we/Paul/anyone would try to return to righteousness via law!) God Bless you!

    God bless you! I appreciate your respect. I return the same respect. My video says how Peter was sinning in the beginning of Galatians chapter 2, and then, at the end of the chapter, Paul said he didn’t want to build again that things he destroyed. It may refer to his reliance upon the Law. Reliance upon the law is a sin. The main point of the video is that Holy Ghost filled Christians can do minor sins, but foolish virgin Christians can do more severe sins. Hope this helps you. God bless you!

    Pastor I am having trouble with lust and it’s only getting worse. I get scared sometimes that the rapture may happen and I pray for forgiveness and I know my heart wants to do right and I feel convicted. I don’t know what to do and I feel lost.

    God bless you! Dear friend, the eyes of lust are never satisfied according to the Bible. So you have to stop looking at it. Think about what is behind those videos or images. Remember Nelly Sanders, and how she was possessed with the devil for dancing? Brother Branham cast out the demon out of her. She was possessed with a demon of look like a bat with long hair hanging down from it. If that was a demon behind dancing, what is the demon behind lust and pornography? Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you. Ask the Lord to help you hate your sin. Also, the Bible says in psalm chapter 16 that there is fullness of joy in the presence of God. If you again get in the presence of God, you will feel the holiness, and the joy of the Holy Ghost. You will not want to fall into That sin again. Does this help you brother?

    Lust is not something to mess with. It will destroy you. If you get lustful thoughts do not even ponder them. But sir you must remember that by grace are you saved. Grace alone through faith alone. Doing good works will not save you. Avoiding lust will not save you. If the rapture happens and you believe in Christ, you will go. Don’t trust in yourself avoiding lust to save you as only believing in the gospel of Jesus will save you. God bless!

    @@michaelcano5857 “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption” - Ephesians 4:30. In the Holy Spirit you are sealed as a saved believer. Do not grieve God by falling into lust. All women are made in Gods image. We must remember this when thinking wickedly about them and know who we are hurting.

    The problem with the major/minor sin idea is this: if you look on a woman with lust; you're guilty of committing adultery...... If you have hate in your heart for an individual, you're guilty of murder..... If you covet a man's property; you're guilty of stealing.... Jesus came to Fulfill the Law (fill up or complete). Sin is sin. What then is the solution; Romans chapter 8: WALK IN THE SPIRIT: (be careful with your life. When you make a mistake, be quick to repent)

  • @JesseSmithAkronBrideofChrist

    @JesseSmithAkronBrideofChrist

    God bless you! Dear friend, "sin is sin" and I agree with that and there are always consequences to sins, whether in thought-only form or action-form. But not all sins are equal, nor are their consequences. The Pharisees get the greater damnation for their hypocrisy (Matt. 23:14) and the house/city that rejects the gospel will be punished more than Sodom (Matt. 10:14-15), which was filled with wicked gangster sodomites. Additionally, there are different levels of rewards for Christians according to Jesus in Matt. 13:23. Yes, walking in the Spirit is the solution, but thought sins (lust, murder, coveting) that get confessed before actions are not the same as literally committing sinful actions. In Matthew 15:18-19, Jesus showed that evil thoughts was the origin of all sin, but if the sin is confessed before taking action, it is still forgiven according to 1 John 1:8-10, and won't have the same consequences. Does this help?
