@@crispy9489 the FA banned betting companies from advertising on the front of football shirts of which 8 top flight teams had. This ban only occurred after the government got involved. The FA never banned owners from betting on teams. Despite the banned shirt advertising they can still have it on the shirts for another 3 years. Football like all sports is full of corruption and illegal betting, handouts, payoffs. Even the refs get paid off to fix games. Those are facts and even after offences occur they continue to keep the job after a short suspension. Yes sir, the betting companies of which bet 365 head women just got fined half a million for looking the other way when a banned high profile customer did bet again fact.

Kane starting is literally suicidal.

It's difficult, right? You know what quality Kane can bring given the opportunity, but his chances have been very limited and outside of those chances, his help for the team due to the system and various other factors is much less than I think is ideal. But he got 3 important goals and the penalty decision. Gotta remember that. Keep the lethal weapons later to surprise them. Thus has worked all tournament. It's risky but bring Watkins on too early and it gives other team time to adjust formation and personel. Near the end, it's too late to react.

The Irony is that they basically play the kind of 4-1-4-1 Formation which is exactly the formation that would get the best out of England's best players but that Southgate is too negative to try out.

Kane out!! On the bench, bring on if over time and pens, play Watkins sub him for Tony around 70/80 mins. Sub foden for Kane late before pens!! We have him to take pens why we don’t save him for pens is beyond me. Kane out!!!!!

Kane HAS been a passenger all tourney... Hopefully, Spain are not 2 or 3 up before Southgate subs Ollie on for Kane ( maybe 1/2 time is the best we can hope for). UTV

Great take! Southgate won’t drop Kane, but a Watkins sub could be crucial. Also, as @JLA said, a Foden > Gordon sub could be key to get another player on the field to run the channels. I think even Shaw > Gordon if we’re chasing late on could work… gut feeling this is Gordon’s game to shine🎉

Thought of your video in the first half and was thinking how Southgate absolutely nailed the formation decision for that first.half. but on reflection i dont think the formation is that important, often when one side advances the other holds back. when we are pressed on the right, its up to the left side to provide an outlet if we gain possession. We have to avoid getting pressed back on both flanks simultaneously. also we often havent looked dangerous even when the opponent is pinned down in their box. perhaps for that reason kane will start.

The big question is do Spain look better than they really are? It's a genuine question. Did they really play a vintage French it German side? I'm not convinced. Therefore, England will be tough for them

lol did u even watched Spain Games this Euro? If u did u would know that they are the best team in this tournament. Consider who they played against and how comfortable they won against France. England only chance wining this final is to play counter attack and get Spain off guard. It easy to say that but am afraid Spain will win this game. If they get the first goal it’s over for England. My prediction is Spain will win 3-0 or 4-0

Oh they are definitely favourites, I just think England could be their toughest test and they do tend to raise their performance against bigger teams albeit if they end up losing. I'm not saying England will win, just saying that Spain didn't beat the Germany's or Frances of the past...that fair to say? And England will be their toughest opponent. The latter you will probably disagree with and I understand why you would

@@wrfootball3847 Well, I mean... We can't be talking about who Spain faced and if those teams weren't in their best if we compare them to who England faced... Serbia, Denmark, Slovenia... Almost got knocked out by Slovakia, did get beaten a lot on their half by the swiss and then faced the Netherlands with a sleepy deffence and an attack which constantly made mistakes, even when left by themselves.

@marramos6286 yes Spain had the more difficult run I agree and are favourites. I'm just saying I don't think they played a classic French or German team that's all. But they still played very well and I still think England are the toughest match for them

Never change a winning team...what Kane provides is experience and leadership on the field...Watkins is more effective off the bench when the players are tired...Just keep it tight in the first 70 mins and unleash Palmer and Watkins. There is a genius in playing boring football.

@@bacanboy3681 good to hear an opposing take. Watkins was probably as effective as he was because he was brought on so late. People say Southgate took so long but I reckon that is precisely what gave Watkins the opportunity he needed to score. If we're lucky, we can hold Spain off for a while, and the longer the match goes, the better chance we have of winning.

I would start Kane because he still has that goal scoring ability, but would plan to sub him just after half time for Watkins. I just can’t see Southgate benching Kane plus I don’t see him as an impact sub. The fact he wants to drop deep when we have Jude, Foden and Mainoo that want to be in the same space is insane. Tell him to stick to the last CB and get into the box asap when we have the ball. Not drop deep and then walk towards the box with no urgency.

I agree with that to an extent, I think it's a really tough call and we have heard the influence that Kane has on the pitch for the rest of his team mates, so I can definitely see both sides. Perhaps the happy medium is making the switch if there needs to be one earlier than the 80th minute. Who'd be a manger, eh?😆 Thanks for watching mate!

The loyalty people are showing to Kane even when it is patently obvious he is limiting our attacking potential is baffling. Are these people watching the games and the analysis or are they simply looking at his reputation?

3-5-2. Kane and Watkins up top. Drop Bellingham.. Shaw LWB for an hour, bring on Trippier if we have a lead to protect, Gordon if we are chasing it. That also leaves Bellingham, Palmer and Toney to come on if we need. As you said, pace will be important against a Spain high line, with this formation we have Kane feeding Saka, Watkins and potentially Gordon.

Kane's performances don't warrant this indulgence. Bellingham has underwhelmed, but Kane has been genuinely useless, even a net negative, on England's functionality about 90% of the time he's been on the pitch in an attacking sense.

You can run your permutations and shapes until the sheep come home ! It won't make a dam bit of difference in the end. Spain are the best team in the World on present form. They dispatched with the holders Germany and France , two nations who regularly make mincemeat out of boring old England.

People seem to forget that Kane has the vision and the passing range of a no10 also. A lot of England goals came from him dropping deep and making deadly through balls for pacey wingers. That’s essential for counter-attacks which is probably the only thing England could rely on this game

​@jimreilly6933 think he's talking prior to this tournament. It hasn't really happened for well over a year now, and was on the decline since he moved away from Sterling and Rashford and then finalised when he pushed Bellingham forward as the '10'.

Very informative vid thank you. Oir weakest link is Harry Kane, and Spain know it. Like you say though Southgate wont bench him and i think this will be why we go down 1 or 2 nil in the first half. If Southgate isnt spineless then he will take Kane off at half time to bring Watkins on, however it may be too late and the momentum against us. If were lucky though and Watkins gets given enough time (i.em more than 9mins) i think we'd havea good chance. So I reckon spain winning 1 nil at half time, due wasted crosses from us as Kane wont be anywhere near it. Then Watkins on in the 70th minute, and England equalise 1-1 by the 77th minute. Then England win in Extra time 🤞

Definitely an option, however even with his added physicality it's still asking him to win a 50/50 which is the same for Watkins, but the drive that Watkins could provide by running the channels would naturally push the side up for me, which is why I picked him instead. @@ZekkoFootball with toney it becomes an 80/20. He's one of the most aerially dominant players in any position. And he's had the better of Laporte in previous matchups. I don't think Le Normand would give him many problems at all. That would be an unfair matchup in toneys favour physically.

I think shaw should start in the final but I doubt southgate will bench kane I have been wanting him benched since the start of the tournament because we need a proper striker kane is more like a cam then a striker in my opinion

I think putting Watkins on as a sub forces teams to rethink the way they defend and makes him even more of a threat than if he was there from the start. Having Kane, who's captain and arguably the best finisher in the world to poach when necessary is strong. If he looks leggy around the 60 minute mark then put Watkins on and it'll confuse the Spanish centre backs.

Who will deal with Yamal better? Shaw or Trippier? Or maybe an Anthony Gordon?

I think at this point, even though it's a risk, you've got to play Shaw, the only left sided defender, gives added balance and also has started to convince with his fitness in parts of games. It's now or never. Gordon could be an option for later in the game, but I worry about him in a 1 v 1 with Yamal. Trippier is always a decent option and won't let you down, but I worry about the lack of pace that he has + him being on the wrong side against Yamal. So Shaw for me. Thanks for watching!

I don't think that trippier or Shaw have the form required to make the necessary impact in this game. Bellingham was poor creatively against Holland . I would play kane and foden behind Watkins and ask mainoo to do his best at lw , with Bellingham in cm.

I think Watkins is older than 19 but the point you make is absolutely spot on. The agility and dynamism that Watkins has would pose a completely different and arguably better threat in this game than Kane. It will be really interesting to see what Gareth Southgate does. Thanks for watching!😊

I thought this was a potential solution as well. However, I don't think Kane's performances deserve this kind of indulgence. Could be an option to go to this later in the game if behind with Kane coming off the bench.

England were somehow placed in the easy group again, where they tied against Denmark and Slovenia and only beat Serbia by a single goal.Then they lucked out with a ninety fourth minute goal, V. Slovakia, in the last sixteen. Then by five pens to four V. Switzerland in the quarter final, and then by the softest penalty in the history of the Euros and the World cup combined, V. the Netherlands in the semi final, have dragged themselves into a final against a free flowing entertaining Spanish team which has won all its games comfortably, including defeating "the hosts" Germany and France. Unless there are more divine interventions from the Ref. and VAR, I cannot see this mediocre English team doing any better than they did in the last Euros.
