in reference to the "overly complicated bars" opinions, I feel like Em knows that there is a part of his fanbase that live for those bars and peeling back the layers, and picking up on all the subtle nods and references and double/triple/quadruple entendres and appreciating the skill it takes to make it all flow the way he does. He will even sometimes turn right around in the next line and break it down for those he knows wont catch it.

He goes after anyone who gets ultra butt hurt over an initial reference. He’s always done that. If you respond, he doubles down. Caitlin publicly cried on TV years ago and tried to cancel Eminem for a quick mention. Plus he wanted to bring up the trans topic and needed a jump off point. Also Eminem’s middle name is Bruce after his dad and was going to be called that until his dad left when he was two months old - and Bruce was Caitlin’s birth name. They were both named Bruce and ‘changed their names’ to shed an old identity they no longer wanted to be tied to. AND it works on the level of him being in the generation that for 50 years or however many years they watched Bruce Jenner win Olympic medals in men’s events and cheered him (when Bruce) on. He (Bruce) was on Wheaties boxes and in commercials as Bruce and then around the age that Eminem is right now came out as trans and changed her name to Caitlin. Confusing asf to even type all that so I can only imagine Gen X being confused asf too.

I think you can only truly appreciate this album if you just sat down whack on a game or sommat and just listen to it in order it’s amazing
Eminem is a genius, no one else could have a new album that has attracted so much attention & got everyone talking about it, job well done id say, start at the beginning & listen all the way through then it all starts to make sense..

Bringing back Slim Shady in full is AWESOME! This is really what we’ve been waiting for from Em. It’s so weird that so many are surprised by conceptual albums, For me, I’m used to it but an artist I constantly listen to constantly does that, NF. They both are masters at putting songs together. Thank you for this video, btw
“Aftermath get the last laugh” Dre must be really proud so far this year
Is not an album is an art masterpiece that is transcending rap music, is a story, poetry, contemporary musical production, visual concept, philosophical society questioning, challenging the new national censorship, questioning about family values and any sort of dependency. Anyone who uses words like "mid" instantly has their opinions revoked.
i'm a huge Eminem fan.. (HUGE) always have been.. & i'm proud to say that my Daughter recently graduated from the very same "Lincoln High School" that me & Eminem BOTH dropped out of, nearly 30 years ago.. (i even use to work at the same BurgerKing, hung out & worked at the same Hot Rock Cafe, & my Mom's BEST FRIEND lived right there on the corner of Dresden, right down the street from him, just 1 block south of 8 Mile, when u turn right , RIGHT after that ToysRus, that was just after Tycoons) .. HOWEVERRRRR.. i've ALSO been a pretty big fan of ICP, since about the 3rd grade.. (while friends of mine had the "New Kids on the Block" displayed in their rooms, i had ICP up on my walls, with ppl like Dre, snoop, Jodeci, & MarkyMark & the Funky Bunch, & what-not) .. MY POINT IS THIS.. i know of ANOTHER CD that's out, where ppl need to listen to the WHOLE thing, start to finish.. it's 1 of ICP, doing a parody of "The Wizard of Oz".. it's called "Wizard of the HOOD"!! 💕 (& it's top notch 🏆)

I was with you up until the end. The album is genius. It’s a literal time capsule. I can’t adequately express the nostalgia I felt listening to Brand New Dance. Then, Shady’s comment on Guilty Conscience 2 hits you like a truck. Inserting modern day name-drops, events, literally contributes to one of the major themes of the album: time. Not to mention expanding upon the idea of time to explore both its cyclical and fleeting nature. Album of the Year.
this album genuinely sucked

This is exactly what I and everyone I know wanted. No complaints. Favorite album in probably 20 years
After a second listen, its the best em album in a while. Lyrical master
Need a “The Hidden Meaning of TDOSS” video analyzing the story of the album when played in reverse!
My favorite album from Eminem since Relapse
Bro this album was hard! Masterpiece imo. Just listen to the bars 👌🏾
