🎨 Embroidery design digitization
Before selling products with embroidered designs, they must undergo digitization to convert your files into a readable format for our embroidery machines.
This process comes with a one-time fee per design, and the cost depends on factors such as embroidery type and placement. Additionally, Printful’s design team conducts a design file check, ensuring that the embroidery design files adhere to our guidelines.
🏭 How Printful processes your orders
We prioritize fulfilling customer orders at the nearest facility to optimize shipping speed and minimize carbon emissions. For instance, orders from the US East Coast are handled in our North American production facilities, while those from France are processed in our European facilities.
Upon arrival at our fulfillment center, operators meticulously review each order, confirming product details such as model, size, and color.
Next, blank products are retrieved from storage and prepared for further processing.
🧵 How your products are customized with the embroidery technique
At the embroidery station, operators upload digitized files onto machines, preparing for the customization process. Each garment type, such as the unisex t-shirt, hoodie, or dad hat, undergoes specific embroidery placements, like left chest, center, or front, respectively.
The operator meticulously aligns designs using frames before initiating the embroidery process, which begins with selecting thread colors-up to six from a palette of 15 available colors. The machine swiftly transitions between color threads, completing this phase in just a few minutes.
📦 Packing & shipping of your orders
At the packing station, the embroidered apparel undergoes a final check to complete before printing shipping labels. Products are neatly folded, placed into poly mailers, and securely sealed.
Once all the packages are ready, they are taken to our delivery station, ready to make their way to your customer. The whole process, from receiving to shipping your order out, takes 2 to 5 business days.
