How Elite Special Operators Took Back Benghazi...

Ойын-сауық

In September of 2012, armed militants attacked the United States diplomatic compound in Benghazi, which resulting in the loss of four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens. The other three Americans who lost their lives were Sean Smith, an Information Management Officer, and two former Navy SEALs turned CIA contractors, Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty.
The attack on the diplomatic compound lasted for several hours. Following the initial assault, a CIA annex located nearby also came under attack. The security personnel at the annex engaged in a fierce firefight.
The attack sparked controversy and intense scrutiny, primarily in the United States, regarding the U.S. government's response and the adequacy of security measures provided to the diplomatic facility. Investigations were launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack, including the preparedness and response of the U.S. government, intelligence failures, and the motives of the attackers.
Numerous reports and investigations were conducted, including a congressional inquiry and an independent review board led by Ambassador Thomas Pickering and Admiral Mike Mullen. These investigations found that there were deficiencies in the security measures at the diplomatic compound and that the attack was carried out by Islamist militants with ties to extremist groups.

Why they never deployed is still unknown but them not going was the only criminal act that happened.

So many incredible people and absolute chads willing to go above and beyond for their country and brothers and arms and the people who are supposed to be supporting them repeatedly let them down. It's disgusting. It baffles me how anyone could have thought Hillary deserved the presidency after what happened. Honestly, it would be better to blame Obama and Hillary for leading G7 into the decision to strike Libya with hundreds of tomahawks, leading to Gaddafi’s death via sodomization with a bayonet. Over a decade later, and the civil war in Libya is still raging. Last year, the internationally recognized government executed the first 100% autonomous drone strike (no human operator in the loop) leading to the death of an enemy combatant. Scary stuff. Obama says Libya was the greatest regret of his presidency, yet no one cares. Just like people don’t seem to care about the Marine’s deaths when exiting Afghanistan, just like people don’t seem to care about Trump insulting a gold star family and leaving our Kurdish partners in Syria out to dry. I’m very upset with what happened in Benghazi, also, but once the attack had started there were probably very few viable tactical options left. It’s not like there was a QRF or invasion force on standby. Which doesn’t make it right - just that these were operational, strategic, and policy failures at the highest level of government. Seriously, what the fuck is the US doing with these regime change operations after all these years? Has it ever been anything other than a complete dumpster fire? So why send your hand picked diplomat to sit in the middle of all that crap? What a joke.

What makes it look worse for Hillary is that, if I recall correctly, there was a NATO exercise happening around Italy at the time. French and Italian Special Forces caught wind of the situation and formed a QRF to help the Americans, but Washington told them that the situation was under control and convinced them to stand down. So a bunch of friendly Special Forces units and loaded out F16's were stuck sitting on the tarmac all night waiting to go. Popomedic transcends KZread. These are more than videos: they are inspirational, moving, and honoring stories told in the most entertaining way. The production quality is amazing. This is really my favorite channel.

You have been my absolute favorite subscription. Your video's always show how much heart you put into making them. I wish to stay bipartisan in my comment but say that the lives lost there was sad and unnecesary, and may those who fell Rest In Peace.
