It only took a few days for me to play it quickly and fluidly. By the time I was able to play it, my fretting hand hurt like hell and could stretch much further than before. However, I only learned the basic thumb slapping technique, and the hard one probably takes ages to master

@@Trahzy I use to but just hear that awesome warm tone, it speaks for itself! It’s a tone that ya get can’t get with an electric, the only thing that comes close is an acoustic~electric. I also only play acoustic because it’s nothin’ fancy just simple and amazing. It’s also more humble and down to earth, it’s the guitar cowboys and miners would play around the campfire after a long day’s work.

Ahhh the acoustic version of Neon i see that "that" will make you switch to electric
i was taught on classical, and practiced on my acoustic at home, and have lived in a little apartment for years so I never had much of a chance to start electric. Then i developed more of a love for fingerstyle stuff and its just made for the acoustic more often so here I am an acoustic stan.

THE NEVER-ENDING WONDERWALL EACH TIME YOU TEST A GUITAR.
Any guitarist should play everything. I started on a jumbo fret classical and by the time I was given an electric I could shred.
Every song I learn to play, I learn on acoustic first. Then after I feel it's good enough I'll play on electric and try to get it to pace. Unless it's an acoustic song. Then I just get it to pace on acoustic🤣

Exactly 💯 my friend most guitar tunes ✍️ on accuistic before electric, FACT!!!!!
I started on acoustic and absolutely fell in love with the sound feel and tradition of them. I barely play my electric anymore.
Going though the same process right now. Started on an LP eleven years ago, got a Taylor for my birthday this year. Neil Young is back to being my musical God…
If by day 5 you’re already going to neon and actually managing to get it? I bow to you
Acoustic is like strength training. Every athlete needs it
In all honesty, even though I prefer electrics, acoustics just give a sound that isn't achievable by an electric, so every once in awhile when I am playing too hard on an electric I will switch to my acoustic, its also honestly really good for discipline practice, because every mistake you make will be clearly heard.
THE FINAL WAS SO ACCURATE
You sound good on the acoustic!
Always loved acoustic, especially playing Bossa Nova
I like your shit man, hope mores to come
I'll just agree, as a bassist, "Mayer has some fire!"
These can give a vibe of nostalgia which never comes out of electric boys

Blues on acoustic and electric is so nice
That neon line hit me deep. I've just accepted I'll never be able to play it.
I was watching an interview with Charlie hunter last night and he was talking about his work w John. John is a huge fan if Charlie's playing and you can hear it in Neon. His entire technique for that tune is based on Charlie's playing. Def check out that interview it's so good!
slow dancing in a burning room sounds good on both.
This is why I like sometimes playing clean through my DAW.
Ever since I learned piano, I rarely pick up my strings anymore. I used to talk to bad about piano before I learned. “That’s why guitars are more stylish and more tailored to the individual” Then I discovered the harmonic possibilities of the keyboard and was blown away. That made me realize that your harmonic approach has far more character tailored to you than just a color or style. And oddly enough I think I left that comment on this video or another one of your clips year ago. 😂
The fact that he doesn't changed his t shirt is amazing 🙌
Respect for playing Fade to black
Hahaha it always comes back to Neon doesn't it?
I find myself just using an acoustic simulator pedal most of the time.

"Claton used one of these ONE TIME" had me
I came from electric to aucustic, been playing for about 10 years and i would say 7 of thore years is on my aucustic. I just feel more connected to it!
This was perfect 😂. I know people who can relate. Unfortunately (For my ability to relate to this video), I started learning guitar at 9 years old or so, 23 ish years ago on a classical acoustic from the 60’s. Went from there, to a crazy. Late 80’s “Vantage” superstrat. That I looooved! And put a TON of stickers on. Played hundreds of shows on that crazy beautiful beast. I ended up with a couple more superstrats, and then one day, I was gifted a Les Paul. Went bonkers after that. Got into semi-hollow guitars, started playing more blues and southern rock, and a lot of grunge (I was a punk/metal player for the most part before the Les Paul changed my world). Then I got into some insane offset stuff, went through a crazy Gretsch phase, then I got into tele’s. Don’t get me started on pedals and amps. Anyway. Now I run a studio (and still play live) and I have a bit of everything. Telecasters though…Damn. They’re the bee’s 🐝 knees. With the 330/335/345/355 coming in second. For now 😂 ! As a guitar players journey of discovery is lifelong for most. Some artists find what they like early and stick to it. But for the vast majority of career and hobbyist musicians, it just never ends 😁! Never ever. Ever ever. Ever. ☮️🙌🏽
Its my absolute favourite instrument

My favorite guitar right now is my kids mini strat because I can stick it in between the couch and the wall and just take it out and practice
Wait, just WAIT, ‘til he discovers Jorma….. There will be bits of brain everywhere. Jorma’s acoustic stuff is simply mind blowing. Jorma is to the acoustic Ole’ Timey Stuff, as much as any living man.
Me playing acoustic: I usually play electric but I like both equally Slips and drops pick into the body: I exclusively play electric, I do not like acoustic.
Wait until he discovers Doc Watson
I love your telecaster
I went from electric to acoustic because our band broke up and I cba to find another one. Learning finger style songs meant being able to play the melodies/percussion of a band on one instrument!
This is perfect bro 👌
Snuff/Vermillion pt 2- slipknot are amazing acoustic songs
neon is literally just slap with extra steps. honestly, acoustic or classical is my favourite guitar as a bass player. because fingerstyle. i cant pick for shit. and saying it like this makes it sound like i can play in general. anyway, that slappy spanish stuff is fire and i love playing bass with an acoustic/classical player.
0:36 I heard this and my brain thought it was "Regression" from Dream Theater
I just enjoy playing them both because they both serve different purposes?
I never understood the acoustic hate it’s such an amazing instrument and sound there’s so much creativity behind one
What’s the name of the second song from day 2 ?
Bro! I know your bein funny an all, but you really are a KILLER guitarist. Well done man 👍🏼
You not lying. Only reason I started playing guitar was to get dates but now I’m in love with it.
Fun fact, Wonderwall has the same chords of boulevard of broken dreams
I just bought my first guitar (Squier Tele) YESTERDAY and today I went back to the shop and saw a very stunning acoustic with bird art on the pick guard I reminded myself I was only there to get a cable 😂 Also had a lot of fun practicing a few chords and playing around with my Tele today 🥰 A very pretty cream color, and I love the laurel fretboard 😍 There are so many different sounds you can make just playing around, too! I've played other instruments too (piano, flute, violin), and never before looked at my hands on an instrument and thought, "They look like they belong there." 🤍
Oh I love One by Metallica, that was a thedooo level pun
... stoooop spying on me, thank you.
Its good to be balanced with both acoustic and electric, i love having an acoustic rhythm and putting electric over it. Season your music to taste 🎸🎶
