He was certainly not husband material, even his daughter Carrie admitted that !....

The triangle is SO incorrectly told. Eddie had already left Debbie and moved out BEFORE his affair with Taylor. Taylor had just lost her husband and was quite vulnerable. Screen personnas went into play, and everyone saw Taylor as the "Seductress" and Reynolds as the "Girl Next Door" ! Most women were interested in Eddie because of his supposed PROWESS! (He was hung!) Eddie was a addict when it came to gambling, liquor, and pills. Both Taylor and Reynolds later in life agreed that it was a mistake for either of them to have ever married Eddie.

Not according to Debby. They (Debby and Eddie) were very much still married when Debby suggested Eddie visit/check on Liz right after MT passed. Now it's anybodies guess as to when the attraction started. But as far as Debby knew, the marriage was still on when Eddie went to console Liz.

In his era, being a famous crooner was all it took. And looks helped. My bio father had 2 singles he sang hit barely into the top 100. Dad was short, not all that great in looks, but Dad's " success", and his velvet vocals got him numerous mistresses while married to my mother. I have half dozen half brothers and sisters that I haven't met!

Even after his career declined, he was successful with the ladies. Married Connie Stevens in '67. Divorced in '69. Due to constant cheating, would be my guess. LOL.

I read the Debbie di an interview with reporters and to fain sympathy, she had diaper pins attached to ger collar to remind them that she was a mother of young children. Eddie was an object of ridicule after Liz left him for Burton, and his career never recovered.

The woman he hurt and betrayed the most was his daughter Carrie. That is the most unforgivable sin a father can ever commit.

Eddie Fisher had the greatest voice of all the singers. I met Eddie several times and spent time with him. He always had time for his fans. His "Coke Time" TV Show is GREAT. What a voice. I wish someone would release all of these shows. I have 15 and they are GREAT. Eddie just picked the wrong women and should have concentrated on his career. We still love Eddie Fisher.

I was born in '63. I'd HEARD OF him, mostly as Princess Leia's dad around the time Star Wars came out, and his name was mentioned when you-know-who's husbands were listed. But, growing up, I never once heard him on the radio or TV and I had no idea what he looked like or sounded like until one time, I thought to search for him on YT and check him out. I must say, musically, he really sucked.

There's no denying that Eddie Fisher had one of the greatest voices in show business. But, every time I now see a picture of him, my blood boils. Back in the 50's when we were kids and read all those glossy movie mags, we came to know about him only as that "good Italian boy, who would be ideal marriage material for girls from good homes". But looks can be deceiving as Fisher didn't have an ounce of goodness in him. Frank Sinatra knew exactly what went on with chorus girls and singers once the show folded each night, and he advised Debbie Reynolds and her family not to have anything to do with Fisher. Sadly, they did not heed Frank's advice. Result: Debbie Reynolds' entire life was wrecked. And sympathies do exist for her even today, despite the fact that she has left this world eight years ago.

Fisher was not a handsome man at all. Poor Debbie Reynolds pales in those sexy pictures next to Liz Taylor. Liz was wrong for this. I would not have given Fisher the time of day. Elvis is a different story. LOL Poor Debbie may she and Carrie rest in peace.

I Personally Think Debbie Reynolds Has Much Cuter Features Than Elizabeth Taylor. Comparing Debbie Reynolds to Elizabeth Taylor is Like Comparing Betty Boop with Jessica Rabbit. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
