The Oil Rig Guide was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of this Monster Machine. He had a great attitude and easily translated complex operations into easy to understand terms. He is a valued employee and he has great pride in his job.

for all this to work in almost automatic you must have a very good maintenance dept.. because i am sure things fail and thats where the MNR dept comes in or you have some time set aside to check equiptment out ..

I'm all for massive engineering like this. but when humans go 'ant-colony' mode and create colossal structures like this, I think we should be doing it to colonies other planets or unlock the next level of space travel or something. on earth we have unlimited Solar energy and a great potential for clean nuclear. I believe we were meant to use all these fossil fuels to fuel our colonies in orbit, our colonies on the moon and mars and beyond..

So, if this is not a floating platform (as explained clearly in the video itself), then why does the video title say it IS a floating platform? Hmmmm... Clickbait, maybe? Or just lousy research and understanding?

Billions spent and absolutely no redundancy spent on life boats? In the event of an emergency what procedures are in place to prevent a panicked employee from lowering a lifeboat half-full? Or if one of the lifeboats gets destroyed in an explosion or fire?
