(Spoilers) These iterations of the animatronics aren't the ones from previous games, nor are they even animatronics. The hidden newspaper clippings around the game vaguely mention shapeshifting demons in the forest, and that's what these are; spirits that have taken the appearance of Scott Cawthon's creations to torment his family and steal his body. (Reasoning behind that is unclear, but the rest is canon)

These are the demonic disorted versions of Scott's creation, i wouldn't trust the newspapers regarding them, as those are rumors indicating they survived the fire on the final level and into the woods, you can still see them behaving like intended by Scott, Foxy hates the flashlight and being seen, Freddy goes for the stylish kill and Chica with her cupcakes, although they also contradict what was intended for them, like Bonnie destroying the cameras, something that no character ever did in FNAF, they only care about getting revenge on Scott for having abandoned them, thus they go for everyone in the home without distinction, they don't know how Scott looks like, so they may just kill everyone they found on that home
