HOW DOES A TRUCK AND TRAILER DUMP TRUCK STRETCH? I DEMONSTRATE THE REACH ON A KENWORTH DUMP TRUCK.

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I've had a lot of questions about how the reach works. I thought today would be a great day to show you.

I noticed the train horn between the frame rails on the last video and wondered how long it would be before we got to hear it, never expecting that it would come in the very next video! I agree with all of the other comments, Love it! Make sure when you are back in that pit to give it a LONG blast every time you move!

In the 70s I worked as a weigh master in Cal quarry we had 988 cat loaders with 10 yd buckets, now there even larger. Loading out 32 or more double bottom hoppers for an atomic plant. Turn around was1 1.2 hours and here they are again. Moisture content and breakage from handling were of primary concern. Blue granite rock quarry. One day driller called down and told me to get all employees down in dry river bed with dump beds up for protection. Went back to the scale and just as I climed the 3 steps, blast went off. Hearing loud secondary noise, opened door to scale house a rock the size of a basketball had came through the roof, ceiling, broke the arm off my desk chair, and made a big dent in the floor. This happened 2 steps in the door, and I was holding outside handle. Needless to say that this was the first time rock had come so far. After that I stayed waaayy out in the riverbed during shots!

I worked in a quarry in Cupertino Ca. It has a one honk for forward and a double honk for reverse policy that was implanted after someone was run over that was in a drivers blind spot. It was a pain at first but became Second nature after a while. If you got caught not doing it, it could result in a fine or permanently removed from the facility for repeated non compliance. This was for all vehicles, you also have to wear a hardhat, safety vest, safety shoes and use a chock if you get out of your vehicle.

Picked up a load in the T800 the pit put 17.5 tons in the box off I went. Truck handled it like a dream hardly knew I had a load on. I was a little overloaded, a tandem axle is only legal for 14.8 ton. Been hauling heavy for years no highway scales, gravel trucks are always heavy. Grossing 62,400lbs is pretty safe, we've got 10% grades here barely touched the brakes grossing 63,000lbs.

Hi Dauminique. Your truck and yourself look great and my very best wishes for GREAT SUCCESS. However, I notice some black paint on the trailer TOW BAR. Very nice. At 0.43 and 5.56 you STILL had to use a hammer. About two months ago I suggested SERVICING the actuator units on the trailer towbar. There could be a worn bushing, plain old RUST or a damaged bearing, whatever is in there. Some bit of lubricating would make it easy. All you have to do is ----open it up. clean and lubricate , reassemble . AND BINGO!!!! easy operation. No hammering.SNOW, RAIN OR SUN I did send you an email regarding some bit of PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE but you did not respond. I have been there with secondhand heavy vehicle so I can identify with these issues. Some grease on the spring lift at the rear of the truck where the body of the truck rest on it is recommended. It lessens the wear of the suspension. HAPPY TRUCKING.

One other question you mentioned going to Juneau for the holidays to visit relatives. What is their name? My neighbor and his girlfriend were born and raised there and were asking when I told them about this pretty kick ass dump truck driver that I watch her videos. That pretty kick ass driver is you my dear. I really admire your work ethic and watching you do your job. Some women talk the talk but you actually walk the walk. Hats off to you. I found a few tricks that might help to get them to unlock, but not always. After all this time, I can't believe someone hasn't come up with a fix or better design.
