I’m writing my thesis on takarazuka so these videos are really helpful and super entertaining to watch! Glad i found your videos!
I found this video really helps me to acknowledge some information on how they decide the actors will be come otoko yaku or musume yaku. I'm craving to watch takarazuka live performance on my business trip next year. But, I don't have the courage to ask one of my Japanese colleague I want to watch the performance. because i'm worried they might find its weird if I come up with the idea of watching all girls performance and I don't know how Japanese people think about Takarazuka. Could you please let me know what is takarazuka means from Japanese people's point of view?

Hi! I'm so glad to hear you are finding this channel helpful :) Takarazuka is really great, but it's definitely a steep learning curve to begin with!! Amami Yuki is incredible, right?

@@WhyILoveTakarazuka Yes she is really great and charming. Even though there are no subs in their play I still watch it since it is really fascinating. They are so hardworking and talented that makes me admire them. I wish I could see them someday and also Amami Yuki san since she's the one who made me fan of takarazuka anyway thanks again for vids I wish takarazuka will be recognized in the world someday. ♥️😊
