Great video! Where you drew and explained the SPDT relay was the best explaniation I've seen yet and the moment I finally understood relays... Thankyou!

Great presentation and very clear explanation of Relays that many people do not understand the function and work. This video saves their lives by making the Relay finally understand from the concept to the application. Thank you very much.

One of the most helpful electronics videos I've ever seen, thankyou. On my college course, I've moved onto much more complex electronics, but have never been able to fully grasp the idea of a relay, until now. So thakyou :)

So for you, the likes of multivibrator, Schmitt trigger are easier to understand than a relay, right ?

This is a great explanation video, hard to imagine how it could be improved, maybe a couple of examples of basic circuits that use relays, but as for how they work this nails it.

Not so!!! The instructor failed to mention how a relay would act if the points get carbon on them. How to know if the relay is actually bad and what it is used for. Any two year old could explain how a simple switch works.

@@elenaolivares6965 What is a relay used for then? I think it has A LOT of different uses, there would need to be a whole separate video just to have time for it all i would imagine.

@@elenaolivares6965 "How Does A Relay Work' I think he covered the title. Could do a several hour video or a series to cover all the different uses, what could go wrong, how to detect a bad relay & so on. Sometimes we have to do a little research to find exactly what we are looking for. Stay safe, Joe Z

Very well done video! Those NTE relays are very good...mine is always on @ 8.5A (120VAC) unless grid is down...then switches to inverter. This relay has been running for over 7 years with no issues. I tried other brands that said 10A but never held over 4A without burning up.
