Yeah and there's so many talented people out there that can now grow a following or be seen whereas back in the day, I'm sure there were fuckin beasts that just didn't have the exposure or resources to relocate to California

@@zandiskoul not the case either, fella. Its always about skating, but marketability is hugely important and needs to be taken into account. Its a business at the end of the day.

@@modelsbyakko8310 I bet you 80% of the pro skateboarding legends we grew up with work regular ass jobs or not at all cause of the virus! Pro is your ability to ride a skateboard which is a toy and an artform not a paid sport. If it gets there like sheckler and Huston want... Then maybe it will pay the bills!

I think a lot of people skate at a pro level who dont have it on paper. That's why youtube skaters exist. They deserve to be able to make a living too. Theres only so many pro teams every pro level skater isnt going to get on them. Doesnt mean they dont skate like a pro.

Lol what..but as im writing this im thinking of All the under the radar type guys hes always had from ben gilly to cervantes ryan bobier was on for so long before he turned pro.....for mystery....sheldon melonshinski...cierra fellers...on second thought maybe thats why all these guys aren't around any more because their instagram was lacking... Billy marks said jamie thomas was ruthless with his riders on how their tricks needed to look lol..dude ALL my favorite pros are low key money chasing kooks

Steps 1 to never: be a skateboard prodigy who can do anything by the time you're 13 years old, have footage to prove it and a cool personality and it won't matter whether you have an instagram or a sponsor me tape or a fuckin myspace. just don't become big on youtube BEFORE you get a foot in the door and companies will be salavating for you.
