There hasn't been majority support for a UK government - ever, as far as I know (aside from Blair the first time and that was just a knee-jerk response to the horrors of Thatcher followed by Major.) You find this everywhere. Governments perpetrating evils that are not supported by the people that elected them. Most people just want a quiet life and to get on with their neighbours. Unfortunately in the nature of things, good, simple, honest people don't generally go into politics ! We are blessed that there are a few.

@@jacqdanieles I do know some, can't say I know it all. I can't remember the name of the agreement but it was agreed that NATO wouldn't expand which they did. Before the invasion there was also talk of Ukraine becoming a NATO member, Russia doesn't want NATO on it's border which is fair enough considering NATO loves war and sees Russia as an enemy despite the US selling Russia uranium. There are also bio labs in Ukraine which should be a concern for everyone not just Russia. Why did the US pull out of Afghanistan so quickly, after a 20 year war against the Taliban just to hand them the country, like they knew exactly how Russia was going to respond. I would argue that the US military is the biggest terrorist organisation in the world, akin to Scotland becoming a member of Isis, would you want that on your border?

Unfortunately that's not how the world works. There'll always be more stupidity and ignorance. For this reason it's always easy for the general public to get fed with simple headlines, fragmented details, superficial info, and even lies, and then made to believe what they are told. The negative feedback loop has been designed in such a way that people are shaped into becoming shallow thinkers. Many kind hearted people get moulded into believing the oppressed being the oppressors, and ended up supporting the real oppressors. The world is complex, and most cannot handle complexity. The way it is now, it is very difficult for the general public to see through down to the root causes of events.

I apologise on behalf of Europe to the people of Russia, for NATO, with the CIA who has created the environment that led to this invasion of The Ukraine in the first place! Who does it gain that we are at war with each other? One only has to look at the American war machine that is the Military Industrial Complex! They are a Luciferian organisation that create the environment for wars and then provide the solutions - the very latest and most gruesome, people killing machines! Our politicians are all bought, enrolled and complicit in this process.

To be fair we need weapons, because if you end up against someone who you can't reason with and he's armed and you're not, you're screwed. And a multipolar world is much preferrable to a unipolar one which would essentially be slavery to a singular world order, without any alternative. What we need though, is to talk before using the weapons, resolve conflict through dialogue first and foremost. War should be the ultimate last resort. But in Ukraine, it was the first thing the West wanted. Even Russia wanted diplomacy more, since they agreed to the Minsk agreements (which were a scam) despite the fact that in 2014 they could have just invaded without any opposition (and they certainly regret not having done it now).

Weapons are not inherently bad, it's how they can be used that's the problem. If weapons wouldn't exist, then someone would create them. You can't change human nature, you gotta adapt to it.
