As someone who just recently came back to r6 after not playing since White Noise, i can confidently say that ranked 2.0 is insanely demoralizing sometimes. At least in 1.0 i remeber the lobies being much more even.

I'm in 100% agree haven't played in 4 years come back just to get placed with champs and diamonds as I get get smoked with my subpar mechanics. That all the way from bronze to gold no way of escaping it.

The most annoying part of it for me also coming back after awhile, is getting placed with middle ranks who think they’re the shit and don’t work as a team at all. Then they talk shit about how bad I am as a copper in a lobby full of golds or higher.

Same here. Ranks means nothing to me anymore. I am in the lowest rank, 5 stacking with friends and we’re going against actual champion ranked players and have no clue how it works anymore

I mean that just means you're diamond. Don't put your rank in high regard when you know it's bs to begin with. It's not even a skill ranking any more it's just whoever has more games.

As someone who recently (like three months ago-ish) started playing Siege I have to say it has to be some of the worst ranked or rather matchmaking experience I've ever had and I played OW, Valorant and League. At first my friends and I played standards, which was fine I was a glorified drone but I got some experience. When my friends weren't online I played solo standard and this was when I realised how fucked the matchmaking was, I was around level 40 barely 30 operators and the lobbies were like diamond+. Knowing how matchmaking usually works I decided to grind to level 50 and just hop onto ranked, whenever I'm solo in order for the game to give me equal matches where I can actually learn. This however was the worst mistake ever because ever since then I'm constantly loosing every ranked. After around 20 matches, being designated as a Copper V I'm still playing in Platinum.I have a 0.5 KD and 20% winrate or rather a 80% loose rate. I also can't really play standard anymore as quite literally my last 4 games included atleast one Champ on one of the teams that completly 1v9ed. Since I can't really play as I usually get killed from spots I don't even know to exist my only way to really improve is watch videos and streams which show educational content. So yeah ranked is fucked and I can see how some people with a short fuze can basically snap after a really bad game and install some hacks.

coming to siege as a new player is worse than it’s ever been, i can’t even imagine. i started playing like 6-7 years ago and even then it was such a hard learning curve. all i can recommend is playing customs with your friends maybe getting 3v3s going (it’s not the same but always fun if you have enough of you!)

Ranked 2.0 is massively less fun than the original. I'm gold/plat and are forced to play way more than I'd want to (100+ games) just for the chance to increase rank as you start at copper instead of just the 10 placements. It also doesn't help I constantly come against Emerald/Diamond players bc they're queued with a copper/bronze guy.

I don't get it. How they can be so smooth brained about that "averaging elo" when one guy is master and another copper. They should just go and play at highest elo of a person in a group. If they want to get fked by higher elo guys they should be able to but why in my gold lobbies I have to constantly face emeralds and above because they smurf with their iron elo friends?? Actually I don't have to cuz I stopped playing lol.

I rarely play ranked because I hate the sweat vibes it gives, so I'm still a copper even now. Not long ago I play one for a change of pace, I got a lot of kills (almost touching 2 digits somehow), and the other copper did really well too, and then one time the other bro who's not doing so good somehow did something strange and the other guy that saw what he did, who's a silver asked "is this really a silver lobby?" The good copper who's butting in, said "I'm a copper" "How tf did a copper got so many kills?" After knowing that, I decided not to tell him that I'm a copper too, I don't even know what rank my enemies are, and why I got a silver in my team. All of this matchmaking is confusing and really2 ass, I'm still lucky in my case, but worse things happened to a lot of people.

At some point i would say you get used to it. When i still played ranked i ended up in gold 1/plat 5 before i decided not to play ranked anymore but i remember getting champs several times, its always fun to lose every round because they are just higher ranks and have been playing for a lot longer.

Yeah I started playing with a few buddies while I was in bronze 4, they were copper 5.. we played like 10 games and all of a sudden my friend is silver 2 and I’m still stuck in bronze 1.. we won 8/10 games and I got like 25mmr each win. Idk how they surpassed me and skipped so far ahead of me as well when we were playing together and sometimes I’d do better than him. Just makes no sense

My first game back on ranked after being away from Siege for 2 years was against a diamond, champ and couple of lower ranks.. People don't cheat because of matchmaking, they cheat because there's a learning curve to Siege and they just aren't good enough. i'm not great, i wiff, my recoil control is great except for when it's not.. i solo Q and make stupid mistakes yet i'm still not cheating. i'm learning the game again and getting better. I remember going back to Rocket League after a break, playing my placements getting put in C3 and playing nothing but C3 players.. no bringing SSL gods down to my level because they're playing with a lower level teammate. idk if that's how it is now but that's how games should be..

RL matchmaking is much more simpler, you should always play people that are at or near your skill level mmr. If I remember correctly RL will prevent skill discrepancies by not allowing an SLL and Plat to queue up in a party together. R6 matchmaking is completely different. It now takes the average mmr of everyone on the team combined together to form a “team mmr.” The matchmaking system will just grab random players to meet that average. There also isn’t a mmr gap restriction anymore so Champs and Coppers can queue up together in a party. A lot of matches will feel like you’re basically just fighting against 1 or 2 people and their deadweight teammates.

The wall shot is a hardware cheat. the new xim thing you spray then it captures a picture of the recoil and compensates you do it like 2 or 3 times. I don't cheat but I saw it on tiktok when I was scrolling

Reason people leave evey round is to persevere kd , deaths don't count if you leave after you die and join back start of next round , also the account selling for champ accounts with high kds are in high demand

I think this whole rank thing should be scrapped.... sbmm doesn't work when I have better kd playing on high ranking lobbies than bronze... part of it is definitely the team itself setting me up for success, giving accurate callouts, instructing me when I do something dumb.... but bronze-silver games are different breed.

Im in bronze rn and my games go one of 2 ways, we win hella easily and i have a 0.5 kd at most, or we lose close but still lose and i got a 2-3 kd. No in between, and its so frustrating. I went toe to toe with an emerald in gunfights with pistols, have better game sense than a silver/ gold, and i still get juggled between bronze 3 to copper 1. So frustrating

I’ve quit ranked siege and I’m honestly on my way out entirely, I was emerald 1 with a 1.3kd but due to cheaters I dropped to emerald 2 1.2kd, it’s my 4th season and I’ve practiced my ass off to get good and I know I’d hit diamond without this stupid bullshit. 54:00 Clash threw, all they needed to do was keep their shield up and play time and they would've won the round because the cheater proved that they're garbage and they could've had a chance to beat the cheating team as well if they managed to get a kill against the cheater, but instead Clash got greedy and tried to go for the kill and cost them the round and the possibility of winning the match, then again I looked up their stats and he was Silver, which explains why he got so greedy in the end

Oddly, when I was hardstuck gold 2, bought my 2nd account and tried ranked again. from there got placed into plat 3 and then capped out plat 2. I think some people could benefit from just starting a fresh slate instead of jumping straight to cheating. Now i have other accounts just to play with my lower skill friends. I sorta wish there was a "prestige system" to reset your rank to truly start from the bottom and build it back up.

Yeah I hate the new systems. Love hopping on for a few matches here and there and my gold-high ass (never tried to push it to keep in my skill level mmr) gets put against only emeralds plus. It’s really fun, impossible to chill

An easy way to piss cheater off is to make it to were they have ricochet on permanently even for for enemies. So no matter who they shoot at they always die instead of them the other team and they can’t leave until the match is over

match 4 is kinda ehh hard to say as most time it can also just be a unlucky coincedence, i feel like this guy might be legit. as most things in this match you do have audio queues from alot of stuff around him. saying he is not checking but only when people are there is also kinda what you see alot in high ranked games, its unlikely someone is office, i think one of those is just impossible to really say if they are
