My husband and I have been married for 13 years. He can be wonderful one day and another day, he is a completely different man. He has said hurtful things to me. After arguments he will spend nights and even several days out. He blocks me on his phone. He will give me the silent treatment. We have children. I am a Christian, I love God and I don’t believe in divorce but I can’t live like this. I don’t know what to do.

I am in a similar situation, he gets angry when I speak my opinion over issues, he has said so many hurtful things over the past 4 years. Over the years I have become silent because I am scared to say something that will upset him. Sometimes I wake up and say I will forget all that he has said to me and I will just move on, then the next day I will wake up and everything he has said is back in my head. I feel like one step forward and four steps backwards .

Just because you’re Christian doesn’t mean you should be the receiver of abuse. Christian’s can leave an abusive marriage. As a Catholic, I can’t marry someone else without an annulment, though.

What if you don't react and it still keeps happening and you don't even start it, don't let you walk out of room to avoid more humility and keep screaming, yelling threatening and pushes you over to react and still keep my cool and talk softly. What you are talking about maybe if someone made a mistake and yelled. What so I do in my situation

Think abbout your question, there are so many potential "realities" from how one would 'hear; it to how their own experiences and emotions would grow it into a God knows what. Plus, it is so loaded, filled with hooks, that it is a reaction in and of itself! Look into the course for women themarriagefoundation.org/

Such a wise perspective! Thank you. Would you consider doing a video about how a health challenge/newly diagnosed chronic disease stresses the marriage and disconnects the spouses vs. Brings them closer?!?!

This sounds like my marriage. I’m so tired of my husband’s behavior. We’ve only been married for 3 months & all we do is fight. He begins arguments, or tries to every month. Sometimes because of his own personal problems.. his family problems & the. Bleeds into our marriage. He would also pick arguments with me. It’s draining… he even called me out if my name, when he’s drunk it’s worse… the drinking is a big problem.

only westerners could have made "emotional" into a negative word....😢

In some cases it is, and in some cases it isn't. Emotions are of the mind in Western parlance so need to be understood so they don't control you or our marriage.
